Original Mirror's Edge was a self contained game, with colorful areas, fun and well flowing parkour movement and basic combat, for the sake of main character Faith being a non violent runner. It did not need another game that's full of forced fighting, worse parkour and unlikable characters.
-movement is less fluid, you often get stuck
-at start of the game, forced fails if you don't complete the objective exactly as you're told
-overall too much combat and you lack the simple ability to disarm enemies from previous game
-each enemy takes several hits, often they instantly recover from being hit and hit back
-new enemy type of stun gun projectile guys, they spam their attack, often without you having chance to dodge it
-pointless collectibles all around the map
-you feel like you're making no change in this world
-large revelations in the story, to which characters show no emotions - so you don't get invested in it
-when you die, game fades to bright white screen
-poor level design, often getting you stuck or miss your jump
-less creative design overall, most areas look alike - compared to previous game, where you've had colorful offices
-the "skill system" is just making you earn what you could already do in previous game, with few additions, but also several missing features, when you'll get stuck on some level
-dedicated "Combat skills" section, so from a non violent main character, who avoided contact with enemies or disarmed them or just stunned them and kept running, we've moved to a forced combat style, that doesn't flow well and is easily the worst part of the game and sadly, you'll be doing a lot of combat
+graphics, game looks well, no visual glitches or shimmering
+sound and music overall are good as well

Overall it's just a worse Mirror's Edge, forced combat sections, forced running away from police drones, unlikable characters who react to everything like they're dead inside and story just ends up on a cliff hanger, setting up another game. A game, that did not need to exist, but since the original game surprised a lot of people and was unique for it's movement system, EA decided to cash in on it.

Mockery of F2P games, completely DLC gated experience, dungeon keys, season passes, pay to win PvP experience and forgettable, nonsensical story

PvP is even worse than before, instant deaths from DLC guns, DLC powers and players with maxed stats vs you, a returning / new player, good luck. Bungie ignores all faults in the game and just keeps adding cosmetic items and DLC, while removing previous DLC story content. Also, majority of your saved weapons and armor are now garbage, broken perks and almost no damage output, even exotics !

Leveling is awful, time gated, several soft locks, limited weekly rewards, still the same 9 slot garbage inventory for each item, you're still being showered in garbage items with random light levels. There's still not even in-game clan search, you can't queue up with randoms for certain activities and there's no in-game LFG chat so you have to go on external website.

This game is surviving on the whales that will buy anything that Bungie puts out. You'll play with them in dungeons, where they'll either rush through the whole thing and leave you alone with tons of mobs to clear while waiting and shouting, or they'll die like total idiots, despite being end game equipped.

F2P way in this game is a joke, majority of activities are locked away from you, you're encouraged to play PvP for rewards, where enemies have literally insane advantage compared to you. PvE is so limited and story is just confusing, because huge portions of it are missing from the game.

Don't bother with this game, the only "innovation" that Bungie will introduce in 2024 is gonna be yet another DLC and more microtransactions.

Still a good game that favors stealth, with weaker story that ends abruptly and unresolved, but with quality of life improvements upon the previous Deus Ex Human Revolution. Worth to play anyways for the story and augments
+ Still many ways to tackle missions, find different routes to the objective, hidden areas
+ Some side stories manage to be clever and interesting, some just end with no real closure
+ Quality of life improvements to previous game, some are:
Dismantle weapons that you pick up and keep a stack of materials for upgrades, to sell or craft bypass for hacking
More augmented abilities, much more variety in them, for both combat and stealth plays
Enhanced complexity of persuading people in dialogues, usually decently readable characters with few exceptions
+ Graphics are a nice upgrade, sound is still good, music can be too loud during characters speaking in combat missions, turn it down by 20-30%
- Worse hacking minigame, it's hard to tell how long until the Green node will be captured but hacking in general is easier, unlike in previous game I didn't even invest in stealth for hacking, just unlocked level 5 at the start and then quick click Capture and Reinforce
- When you pick up a gun that you already have in inventory, it instead converts it into regular ammo for this weapon, wasting the money / crafting parts, so you have to drop your gun, pick the new gun up, dismantle it or sell it, then pick your gun up, also the good double barrel shotgun from previous game is not here
- Multiple ammo types that clutter your inventory, most of which you will sell or deconstruct anyways
- You can go multiple times to a same place just because story now added there new item, even though that you've looted all that was there already
- Story ends very abruptly and is unresolved, several side stories end without proper closure either, you don't get to "hear back" how it ended, there's no real change to things, key characters from previous game are missing here, some get just mentioned but not explored properly what happened to them
- I have ended the game with 55k credits and 26 neuropozines, even when I've sold 10 and used for quests 5 of them, there wasn't enough of use for the materials game gives you - don't bother to dismantle too many weapons
- Few forced decisions between A and B that did not leave a good impression
- Confusing end of the game in general
- New game + lets you keep all your items and augments, but story is the same, you basically continue with fully progressed character right from the start, but you know the story, so there's no replayability
- Horrible 15 minutes of credits, in middle of it there's more of crucial story info and then more credits, not possible to skip and you get the achievements only after it finishes completely, having to watch seemingly random pictures of devs without any names to who you're looking at

Overall a great game, with dialogue options that change what happens to characters in the game, stealth options, alternative routes, tons of hidden places to explore and interesting ideas to think about. It's better than the next game, Mankind Divided. Story is interesting and often thought provoking, leaves a good impression.
+ Interactive story, your choices matter
+ Multiple ways to get to the objective, rooftop, side door, hidden passage under the building, convincing someone to help you and so on
+ Tons of hidden areas to explore, things to find
+ Augments let you convince people in conversations, become invisible, breathe in toxic gas, suffer no falling damage and much more
+ By exploration you find alternative options to resolve a gun fight, like hacking a turret and turn it against enemies, hidden vent to bypass the guards, helping someone who then helps you back etc
+ Side quests give you more story context and upgrades for your augments
+ Hacking computers and reading emails actually gives you more of story info
+ Story ends with a satisfying closure
-+ Save frequently by F5 if you want "your" outcome of the story / fights
- "Small" inventory system, for hoarders it feels limited, most of the time I had 7 different guns and used 1-2
- Surprising amount of the hacking minigame, later in the game you have to hack almost too much, if you want to explore and get more story information and clues
- Large selection of weapons, from which if you go stealth, you'll not use most of them, still though keep at least one or two for the forced combat scenarios
- There's several forced open combat sections that you have to deal with quickly
- Story gets a bit heavy at the end, but push through it, it's worth it for the closure

Warning - it will take you several hours before you can have wild fun like they've presented the game in the gameplay trailers
Game was overall fun, but you have to realize something in order to stomach the rough start. Enemies are tough to kill at the beginning and they can deal tons of damage to you. The idea is that you have to get better guns, upgrade them and get more abilities, in order to have more creative ways to get close to your enemies and deal damage. If you can't deal with that, you'll have a bad time with the game, as enemies are bullet sponges and your guns feel like pee shooters. Once you get better guns and few abilities, it changes the game and actually matches the Trailer gameplay mad fun.
At the start, your map has marks of several Arks, those contain new abilities and guns, but after you finish them, they don't show up anymore, you have to progress through the story, without idea when they're gonna show up again and then you have to either randomly look at every Question mark ? location, to see if it's an Ark or not
Tip 1 ! I highly suggest that you look up gun and ability locations, or you can literally finish the game without ever finding large portion of them
, when I was one mission away from the end of the game, I had still 3 guns missing and for abilities I went through half of the game without most of them, simply because Arks are stupidly hidden in world map clustered with nonsense of ??? icons
Tip 2 ! In the upgrades menu for weapons, you have to unlock BOTH upgrades for your gun, in order to get the next upgrade available to purchase
...I literally finished the whole game, all NPCs were lvl 15,16,15 as I spent ton of time doing all side missions, I had 32 gun upgrade tokens and 20k feltrite and the nonsense upgrade system made it so that I had only lvl 2 guns, the entire game, on hard difficulty, so most of the tougher enemies felt like bullet sponges !
Tip 3 ! Change the keybinding for the Nanotrite focus to SHIFT and move the sprint to left Alt
, this way you can actually use it, unlike the original terrible keybinding. By pressing Shift once, you'll warp into direction of the key that you hold (for example you hold A and press Shift, you warp to left), by holding Shift, you'll see enemies, your car and with later upgrades, chests, Ark chests and PDAs
+plethora of weapons, shotguns, pistols, rocket launcher and more
+interesting abilities like warping forward, powerful ground slam, little black hole
+variety of vehicles to drive and upgrades for your main car, weapons and armor
+the Overdrive mode basically allows you one shot kills, great for horde clearing
+the gunplay is solid and taking down huge monsters, especially at the start, is a blast
-Overall big minus is, that after 26 hours, finished all main missions, all three main NPCs leveled to lvl 15,16 & 15, all arks found, all abilities maxed out, tons of side activities cleared, the game gives you only 24 / 64 achievements and I literally 100% most of the side activities...it's heavily padded out with pointless stuff, and once you finish main mission, there's no reason to play anymore
-once you clear tough enemy base, you then spend twice the time on searching for the boxes and ark chests and especially the PDAs are often in terrible spots, you have to unlock the mad scientist NPC in order to be able to see the chests and PDAs with your ability
-pointless NPCs in cities, that you can talk with and they give you quests, for which they often don't give you anything
-story is very straight forward Revenge type, with not many twists, often it felt like a chore
-map is littered with icons for millions of things to do and it doesn't feel like you have real impact on the world
-the Authority turrets are annoying bullet sponges that don't fit this game, you have to take cover and basically spam assault rifle shots at the blue part, then hide behind metal crate when it fires, do this for literally few minutes...
-only your car can be upgraded, no other vehicles can get upgrades
-the racing minigames on the track are quite bad, as the cars handle poorly
-there's no real payoff for killing the spy drones, just another wasted chance
-after you finish the game and credits roll, there's bit of cutscenes where all the major characters tell you how This isn't the end, and how you're needed very much in this world...this is sadly nonsense, there's nothing new once you finish, so no point in playing more

Help the nekos, foxes, slimes and other girls in the fun,
light story with minigames to complete and at the end you'll get rewarded :)

There is no exploration, there is no place for your personal questions about anything. What could have been an interesting setting, is just a bland, generic gameplay land, as you rush past interesting looking objects, which you can't examine at all.
You have just WASD, spacebar for jumps, E as use button, then left and right mouse buttons, that's all.
- empty, fodder filled locations
- bland, grey palette, making the world feel dead
- mocking narrator, who thinks his poor jokes are clever
- in 10 seconds explained threat of "black glue", which is any area with a shadow
- threat of shadows is so "BIG", that you just sink in them and then respawn right where you stood 2 seconds before...you don't even feel like you've died, it feels as a joke, no explanation given HOW you've survived it
- for a game about Light puzzles, you don't have a shadow...and when you step in front of a light as part of puzzle solving, the light magically passes through you
- the balls on devs, who compare themselves with such games as Portal...yet when they reminded me of Portal, I immediately missed the quality of Portal's story, as well as Glados, who was far more interesting narrator

Indie game = automatic high praise from the simple minded people - Sadly this game is just bland, unexciting, fails to make you interested in its own world, it shouts explanation at you about sci-fi themes that would have been worth of deeper exploration and yet they don't bother to do so. It's a simple puzzle game, that's full of itself and thinks that it's something more than just another dull entry in your library.

Surprisingly combat heavy game with no proper aim down sight and terrible voice acting. Wait several years, maybe it will become a game, instead of playable demo

- you can't see where you're shooting
- enemies have aimbot and the moment they spot you, they're after you
- there's one guy who tries to do 2 voices for 2 characters, it's simply bad
- no auto save / F5 save
- completely pointless skill system, you find skill points to unlock all of the skills in the first hour and you'll have 12 extra skill points left
- it's not a sci-fi game, it's a test demo, pre pre alpha, you can't even use Esc to quit out of menus, there's no meaningful mechanics in this thing, you'll shoot dozens of mindless bots without ability to even reasonably aim down your smg

Game that tries to make an EPIC setting, but it's just a generated forest in an arena...
- At start, you're given 800 of currency via tutorial to UNLOCK new character :D But they've made those characters cost 1000, so you can't even unlock the face of this game, giant antler's hunter :p
- As hunter, you run out of ammo fast and often can't find resupply
- when you down scavenger players, they become almost invisible
- you play as Huge hunter, but it doesn't show since POV is first person...
- there's no animation in 3rd person perspective of executions, you just...walk up to the downed enemy and hold E...yay
- weapon sounds are not enjoyable, sound effects in general are bad
- matchmaking takes a long time, several minutes of wait time
- the map is small and since it's generated in an arena, it loses any magic it could have

Overall the game has nothing to offer, it's more of a gimmick than a real game. It doesn't feel like a real struggle of the Scanvegers vs Hunters, the whole idea of fighting in an arena instead of a haunted forest kills any seriousness.

Work on the sound effects, change all to 3rd person view, create some execution animations, don't make the fallen scavengers almost invisible to hunters and simply PUT THE GAME IN A FOREST, not in an arena. And maybe check if your tutorial rewards make any sense for the new players, this is the first game in years where I've got LESS resource than required to unlock something via a tutorial :D It shows that the people who make the game, don't play it themselves and that's the problem

This was my favorite and also one of the best true action MMO RPG games, dodging in real time, no bs standing there like a plank of wood, waiting to be hit by an attack and roll your face over the keyboard to start comboes like other MMOs.
It's an old game, but it has large variety of classes, skill based gameplay, plenty of unique weapons, enemies, raids, costumes etc

! TL:DR - game is dead, heavily infested with payment ways, unforgiving gear enhancing system, community has been killed and the good people left Vindi long ago, it's poorly optimized and honestly sad to see it's state nowadays, so avoid it, you're no longer playing the good Vindictus, you're playing a former shell of a game which has nowhere to go, support is dead, community dead, just let the game peacefully die and please, read up on the dmg that Nexon as publisher has done, so that you avoid supporting them, they have killed many games, including this one.

It's just a shame that it has been long dead, due to Nexon being absolutely the worst, they have destroyed the community around this game, with 0,02% drop chances of loot from raid bosses and you've needed that loot in order to craft a raid gear, which week or two later all parties required you to have, in order to even join the raid itself.
Another nail in the coffin was weapon enhancing and enchanting, which on higher levels could and often WOULD BREAK YOUR WEAPON and GEAR. You HAD TO enhance and enchant your gear, in order to keep progressing through the game, to get stronger, to attack faster, to keep playing the relevant content. And your items literally broke in the pursuit of wanting to play more.
Nexon has created a huge gap between people with RNG, some players would randomly get raid drops on one character, while others kept running the raid for 20, 40, 60 runs and would never get anything. All of the above has caused for the community to be split in half, on the normal players and elitists. And game has started to die ever since that has happen, people would quit due to their most valuable gear breaking, gear that took hundreds of hours. People would quit disgusted with Nexon, how they kept lowering the hidden "Luck" value for events and start selling items which increased your Luck for real money, items which protected your gear from breaking, more and more leaning towards pay to win, but also Pay to be a lazy elitist, with no skill, no hard work behind your gear.

It's sad that one of the best MMO RPG's has basically died, population of once thriving servers lowered to almost zero, all because of complete and utter GREED that Nexon has presented over the lifespan of this game.
Good night Vindictus, we've all enjoyed you for hundreds/thousands of hours, back when the game was playable only through the website, when we had just the starting classes in the game, when Scythe Evie was just for fun, because her dmg was super low. They used to have weekly events that would bring people back and we'd grind in this peaceful game, enjoy ourselves, relax and play together, game had a nice story for the first version and the community was helpful bunch, you'd revive each other with a feather, cheer for your allies to win the fight against behemoth bosses, you were rewarded for learning boss attack patterns, dodging perfectly, using your I-frames correctly, ressing when you were supposed to or straight up soloing the boss for some time until your friend could revive the others.

I'm not sure if I want to recommend anyone to play Vindi anymore, it's sad at which state the game is, it's sad what's left of the community, how the game got dumbed down over the years, how much of payment stuff has been pushed into the game and how it essentially got ruined by Nexon, what used to be a relaxing action rpg that rewarded skill and allowed players to feel like they've beaten huge raid bosses or even dungeon bosses with friends and friendly allies, is now just a damaged shell of it's former glory.

I have couple of thousands of hours in the game and honestly don't want to play it anymore. I'd rather keep some nice memories of Vindictus, rather than see the ruins that Nexon has managed to create out of it, through their complete greed and lack of care or understanding for the playerbase. And if anyone reads this wall of text, I'd advise you to avoid the game as well. Let it die please and don't support Nexon, let's hope that IF one day, there will be Vindictus 2, it will not be managed by them ever again.

Warning : Avoid spending money in Nexon games, they have in not so long ago, leaked account passwords and also managed to let hackers get a hold of players credit cards and payment details, which were later used for large payments...Also, their in-game purchases suck at RNG, all is constructed in such a way that you will get drained of money and not receive items that you've wanted, all is in loot boxes. If you thought that EA is bad, you've never really played a game that Nexon was managing.
