Mix between Doom and Rage 2, which doesn't live up to either of the games
It felt like an underwhelming shooter, with not really fun combat. It's not fair as Doom, it spawns enemies non stop, especially in side missions. You need to upgrade and use the powers (which are less fun than in Rage 2), first though you need to rebind the horribly chosen keys for them (9 0 - =, yup). Once you upgrade yourself to max, two of your powers instantly kill EVERY enemy, even special ones, except bosses...Without the powers, the game overwhelms you with enemies from behind and front, even if you've just cleared the entire room of them.

Half way through the game, maximum upgrades to myself and nothing to spend the money on, after just few side missions and 5 story missions out of 13. Finished the game with 1,4 mil, ending was first a mess of story dump and then anti climactic finale.
+ Warhammer 40k setting, interesting environments
+ decent looking graphics and good performance (mostly)
+ doggie, who you can send out to help you (do NOT upgrade his head)
+ difficulty at the start felt fair and fun even on hardest (old school)
+ hidden chests throughout the levels, which encourages exploration
+ grappling hook to get around, often saves you from dying from unlucky jumps
+ summoning the dog gives you wallhack red highlight around all enemies near him and he distracts them and chews on them, even on special enemies
- combat is, not so great, just a lot of senseless shooting
- sniping, especially on higher difficulties, makes no sense
- game literally expects you to DIE, you have 3 auto revive items and 3 healing items, often the deaths felt cheap and instant, especially with the later introduced enemies
- instant glory kills without need to actually fire at the enemies
- camera wobbles as your character performs the glory kills, makes you feel sick after a while
- there's 13 main missions, the later half which felt both really quick, easy and anti climactic
- by doing few side missions, you get enough money to upgrade yourself to the max...you upgrade your doggie and then that's it, no use for your money at all
- the stupidity of me chasing after a 250k bounty, while I've had all upgraded and 500k in my bank already with nothing to spend it on
- doggie head upgrades, turn adorable dog into an ugly robotic monster, and you literally don't even need it, just upgrade his legs and torso
- can't pet the doggie in missions, only in the main hub area
- enemies are outlined with White frame around them, because otherwise they'd be really difficult to spot in the environment
- sometimes I'd get stuck in walls after using grappling hook to pull myself, a fix was to wait for enemy to walk in front of me and pull myself towards him (you're invincible in the wall though, I have finished side mission stuck in a wall, by waiting for the leaders to come in my sight and stay there long enough for me to kill them)

Overall, I've expected more of the game. There's no end game, no point to play once you finish. Heck you play half way through and the only reason to continue is the story. There's no gun or armor upgrades and when you max out your upgrades, there's not much reason to even fire your guns, since you instantly kill several enemies with 2 powers, even special enemies. Ending was underwhelming and overall the most fun I've had, was from sending my dog to bite down enemies in side missions.
And btw, there's B, A and S class side missions...you'd expect that they differ in difficulty > nope, I've played easy S class and extremely hard B class, problem is that B is the starting side missions. It's like an attempt at giving you something to do, without any thought as to why to do it. You can max out your standing with a faction by finishing missions for them...when you do that, you get a reward and that's it, faction will be marked as maxed and you don't get anything better from them. I've maxed out two factions and was questioning, what's the point ? There is nothing to buy, I've ended the game with 1,6 million. You can't even play multiplayer or place bounties on NPCs or other players, there's just no thought to it besides the main, quite weak story.

Dante is nothing like himself, the game is not as funny as DMC 3, story is quite bad and characters you already know are MEH at best here. Combat has been improved though, so get ready for some ridiculous chaining combos.
+ much easier to pull of combos, compared to previous DMCs
+ nice variety of weapons, you'll like at least some of them
+ completely new enemies with a decent variety to them
- Dante and Vergil are nothing like themselves, horribly butchered characters
- bosses are actually very easy, compared to previous games
- exploration is punished by time rating at the end of each mission and often you can't reach certain secrets, because you didn't unlock the specific power yet...and then you get bad rating for exploration and for time at the end
- some combinations of enemies are a pain to deal with all at once
- you barely get to use Devil Trigger and for some reason, it makes enemies float when you activate it...so they're often very hard to reach to even attack
- the weapon upgrades, most of them you'll never even use, I wish there was something more meaningful to upgrade
- lack of humor and over the top silly cutscenes, like in DMC 3
- why is Dante's mom suddenly a redhead...she looks nothing like Trish
- overall a very forgettable game, especially when you play DMC 1 or 3
- Vergil is ... a complete weakling, it's criminal how he's portrayed here, ffs he walks around with a cane

DMC 1 and 3 were overall fun to experience, even though that lot that was in those games made me hate them, especially the murky graphics, brown on brown, far away camera, nonsense boss attack designs and often story that didn't make any sense. DMC 2 I've already forgotten for how bad it was, bullet sponge the video game and story wise was the weakest.

DMC 1 - Overall a fun game, with often very bad camera positioning, repetitive mini bosses and some god awful platforming
DMC 2 - WTF happend to story, the fun having Dante or in general to the game ? Half of this game is you shooting in never ending loop at things you can't even see on your screen, SKIP
DMC 3 - Actual story, funny Dante is back, over the top cutscenes and DMC iconic combat ? Along with proper settings menu ? What is this Capcom, a real game ?! - a lot of poorly designed bosses though and at times sudden difficulty spikes, which beg the question, did the "game designers" actually play their own game, without cheats or easy mode ? I think NOT

DMC 1 in detail:
- story is...a joke, mostly non present story and when it is present, it makes no sense, especially the "end game" actions of Dante are just beyond stupid, guess he really wanted to bone Trish no matter what...
- horrible platforming sections, where due to perspective or just game problems you don't land where you're supposed to, so you fall and have to hop around over and over again, it often took MUCH longer to jump somewhere than to kill a boss...
- some enemies, like the massive blob, are pain to kill and to deal with
- many of the mini boss enemies are being overused, you fight them multiple times
- after winning against huge mini bosses, you then go back to regular basic enemies
- most of the arsenal is useless and you'll stick with two weapons, only exception are the knight fights where the fire fists can infinite chain kill him
- REVERSED controls during the underwater and flying missions, Up is down and Down is up
- underwater sections, it has no purpose, the "combat" there is you pewpewing with a nail gun at enemies, you just hold down the trigger, that's it, feels like nonsense just for bullet on a box

DMC 2 in detail:
Tthere are improvements, but in general it's far worse game than DMC 1 and I would not bother to play it, just like the devs didn't bother with making the game itself, put the same effort into it as they've done...
+ easier dodging via a single specific button
+ possibilities for comboes that feel closer to the DMC tradition
+ double jump unlocked from the start
- Rename this game to RATATATA because now there's flying enemies...you have to shoot them down, your guns deal very little damage...at first you have to press X to fire, then you pay 10k for pistol upgrade in order to just Hold down X to fire non stop...see, devs knew that it's going to be annoying and tedious as hell, hence why you also unlock: twin uzis and rocket launcher
- enemies have several health bars and you don't get the sense of how much health they have left, as THE FREAKING COLOR OF THEIR HEALTH BAR BLENDS IN with everything else puke colored in this bloody game
- very early after the start, you fight TANKS and HELICOPTERS, yes, you slash at a tank with a sword for about a minute...there's several of them...then you have helicopter miniboss fight, 4 times in a row ... how badly did they need to stretch this game
- story is god awful, Dante is not himself, new character shows up, is not introduced, Dante acts even dumber than with Trisha, there's almost no jokes, nothing interesting or new to learn, it's like slapped together DLC for the sake of OH NO we must make something in about two weeks to release it
- platforming is still really bad and imprecise
- the game is so stupidly dark majority of time that you DO NOT SEE where you are or where you're going, mix in few enemies or platforms for more salt rubbed to the wound
- several boss fights are just made unfair for the sake of being unfair and it feels stupid
- camera, my god, it's often worse than DMC 1...and that's an achievement !

DMC 3 in detail:
+ improved combat, larger combo variety
+ a lot of story and explanation
+ funny and over the top Dante is back, with ridiculous slow motion cutscenes
+ boss variety, some bosses are actually fun to fight and have mechanics
- a LOT of bosses are, charitably said, nonsense
- the camera is often god awful, you can't see where you are, especially in boss fights it's pain
- platforming is still terrible, puzzles mostly the same, it's something that DMC is not known for being good and at this point, you'd expect them to either improve it or give up, NOPE
- difficulty, certain bosses are extremely difficult and it takes many many deaths before you figure out how the hell to kill them, sadly often you have to ignore completely their mechanics and basically exploit them in order to win, it feels stupid, it feels cheap
- the "lady" in cutscene can barely stand, but her bossfight is just god awful, she keeps running away, jumping up and down, tossing grenades, firing rockets, later homing missiles, then you defeat her and the cutscene is such a joke...
- you're forced to kill all bosses once again in "We ran out of ideas and we've spent so much time on making these bosses with all of their mechanics, so just now you have to defeat them all again, despite you killing all of them not so long ago" syndrome ... and if you play as Vergil, boy I hope you love those bosses, prepare to kill em again !
- rating at the end of each mission...you get punished for exploring, for taking your time to look around for secrets or just for getting lost in the stupidly designed areas where it's unclear which way you're supposed to go next...so prepare for a bad rating on TIME almost each mission, unless you rush through all just for the sake of getting as high rating as possible on the mission end screen - it's frankly stupid and at odds with itself
- Vergil's fight...the last one, it's poorly designed, when he goes into Devil Trigger he can stay there for two mins no problem and just spams slash down sword attack over and over, he can combo you so badly that you lose half of all health in few sec, real pain in the ass - use Beowulf, that's the only thing that actually works against him
- Playing as Vergil...I've expected to see a story from his side of things, NOPE, you walk through exactly the same places and go kill exactly the same bosses as Dante and of course, in cutscenes and as a boss, Vergil is a beast, but when you play as him, he's weak as watered down beer, it's just not that interesting or fun

Far weaker and worse than the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R., not worth the nerves and cheap instant deaths, slow walking around, looting mostly useless junk instead of artifacts or frustration from missing most shots because "upgrades" exist...
- enemies even on hard difficulty hit you across half the map with a sawed off shotgun
- shooting feels awful, your bullets literally fly everywhere else than where you aim
- even when sniping you can literally fire 20 shots before killing a single zombie, because 17 shots randomly miss
- almost every hit you take causes you to bleed
- to stop bleeding, you now have to use 2 bandages
- bandages are now rare, you'll have only handful of them
- you don't find info on hidden loot from looting dead enemies, now you pay for that info with money
- stashes that you pay for, mostly contain a medkit or useless cheap gun, not artifacts like in previous game
-upgrade system for weapons and armor, where you spend thousands of rubles on getting the gun to maybe hit an enemy
- mandatory sequences, where you lose everything, money and guns
- NPC help and AI in general, atrocious, they're supposed to help you capture an area, you kill all enemies and they come 10 minutes later and you're supposed to wait there for their glorious arrival
- even when you join a faction and raid the enemy's faction base and kill everyone in it, there's generic Congratulation to everyone who's participated ... you were there alone, your faction friends then take 10 mins to show up and just go to a corner of the base, they don't even capture the area - and the reward for it is, frankly laughable
- NPCs scam you even harder for when you're trying to sell items, be it even your faction, 5k for a gun that costs 50k, 250 for 6k gun and so on
- artifacts are now basically non existent, they're right next to anomalies and you have to "detect them" by switching a mode on anomaly detector, which isn't even in the settings on how to do it, so you google: Shift + G
- anomalies are now often almost invisible and most instantly kill you, but enemies don't run into them, wild life doesn't run into them, it's there just to annoy you and you alone
- scripted events of "HEY, help us defend this point from enemies", aimboting enemies that hit you across half the map, cause you to bleed, you're very low on bandages which are the only things that can stop bleeding, you kill all the bandits / other faction, get thanked by the people you've just saved and ... you get little bit of money, NOT from them directly, no you have to go visit their base ...
- running is pain, welcome to slow walking everywhere, your stamina depletes very quickly even with just two guns and some ammo for them, god forbid that you'd like to loot the enemies you've just killed and sell the weapons in order to make a bit of money in order to upgrade your guns or armor, no no no
- story, is somehow really bad, now there's tons of long paragraphs of "story" and nonsense events, you don't really have choice in it and it's not enjoyable or interesting, especially for Shadow of Chernobyl stalkers
- literally copy pasted game, it's so hard copy pasted that most time they call you "stalker", but you play as Mercenary
- enemies throw grenades, while yelling stupid insults - and these grenades kill you instantly, sometimes you don't even have chance to move, don't forget to quick save before even the stupidest encounters

TLDR: Too many negative changes to the core gameplay and overall, worst game out of the Metro trilogy. 3x longer than the previous games, but a lot of it felt like a tedious prolonging of a finished game. I've finished it on Ranger Hardcore and don't feel like playing it ever again.
It feels like Exodus undermined the previous atmospheric games and their setting.

- bullets as currency = gone
- finding meaningful items = gone, you don't even loot ammo, usually just from killed enemies
- atmosphere is gone, you're no longer in small and dark corners of the Metro, you're outside in a generic open world, half the time you fight local bandits and the other half it's zombies...creative dead end
- you loot everything, even mushrooms glowing with radiation...as part of the crafting and most times you're just crafting medkits, you can't even craft ammo for your guns when you're not at the crafting table
- weapons require cleaning (otherwise they jam, making automatic rifles unusable) and you can't clean them on the go, the cleaning process requires you to hold F and sacrifice the hoarded resources, which you need for crafting medkits
- pseudo open world, which is empty and has only few locations in it with "stuff" happening, but only when you arrive, the world doesn't live without you, all is scripted
- story is predictable and lackluster, characters don't have much depth, when something "bad" happens, you get blamed over and over, despite you solving a problem while everyone else does nothing
- enemies often decide not to die, despite headshots and lethal damage, even when previous enemy died from it
- Artyom is seriously obese! He gets exhausted after running for few meters, then you can't sprint anymore for several seconds, while having to listen to his heavy breathing...combined with the large empty "open world" sections, it's pain to get anywhere on foot
- little deeper water = you die or get respawned at nearby land, Artyom literally can't swim or cross water
- boating...it's slow, enemies swim in the water and can spit at you or get on your boat, it's not interesting or challenging, it's...annoying, when you see an abandoned house in the water, you're not thinking AH, there will be something interesting inside, but "Not again, I've had enough of overgrown shrimps and worms and Artyom drowning in knee deep water"
- generic human like zombies, it's not even mutants, it's literally zombies, they're not interesting creatures, they're just annoying and jump at you when they reach certain distance, triggering a cutscene and QTE sequence
- the hardest difficulty, Ranger Hardcore, is simply unfair compared to both of the previous games and other FPS games, enemies have aimbot, one hit kill you, but they themselves require often several shots in the head in order to die - they can fire through objects, often they spot you for one second and instantly kill you even with a shotgun across 200 meter distance, it's a complete nonsense and I would not recommend it even for the "challenge", it's simply not fun - also, don't forget, on this difficulty, there's only autosaves, which often make you waste a LOT of time as they don't save even after you've crossed a considerable distance or have killed dozen of enemies, feels like it's random when it decides to save

*Spoilers from here on now*
- story doesn't make any sense, if you've completed Last Light with a "bad" ending, Anna was calling you a Rabbit for a while, then she somehow has gotten impressed by your skill of not dying and afterwards you have a sexy time together but that's it, she isn't attached to you in any way - this is all based on the main story
- also, in Last Light, the Lesnitsky, who has worked on the virus, said to Anna that she's his trump card...you'd expect that he infected her with a virus, especially since Anna starts coughing and never stops in Exodus, but no...she has breathed in some irradiated gases from a storage room and then for the rest of the game, she pretends that the coughs are from everything else
- bugs, in previous games I didn't have almost any problems with them, but here: often I couldn't take enemies down silently, the button prompt just didn't show up, enemies would walk around corner and then teleport somewhere else, enemies would spot me instantly even without a direct line of sight, enemies would instantly kill me while they were facing a different place and their gun wasn't pointed at me, I've gotten stuck in several places and needed to kill myself, Miller gave me his gauss rifle but actually he kept it
- you can't change some of the "story decisions", no matter how nonsensical it is, for example, if you've killed even a single man at the church, the cult of the fish, you know the people with guns who openly fire at you, Duke will later on in a mission die, even if you kill all the cultists, or sneak past all or knock out all, I've spent 2 hours trying to change that outcome, NOPE, it's as stupid as it sounds, he gets shot, refuses to jump on the train with you and heroically dies...
- strange relationship between Anna and Artyom, Anna the tough and cold sniper girl, is now worried for you and gets emotional every time you're in danger, it's an odd change of character, especially since for half of the previous game she called you a Rabbit and now she "would die if something happened to Artyom"

And worst of all is getting "a happy ending", where they just live happily ever after next to radiation free lake, with a nice house. The game makes no sense if you've gotten the ending from Last Light, where Artyom and Miller all died in D6 and Anna was pregnant. And Exodus starts with Miller alive and Artyom as well, and you're like...wait what ? The story writers just completely ignored the different endings of previous games, thus rendering them pointless.

Overall a great FPS game, pick difficulty on which you can enjoy the game and blast through the story
Upgraded version of Doom 2016, more abilities and movement options. Main game is fun and challenging (played on Nightmare), first DLC feels rushed, second DLC gives you a fun hammer to stun enemies with but it also ends with a horrible boss fight. Amazingly, this game has created story and it's quite fun. No voice acting for most of the documents you find though and reading it all can get tiresome.
+even faster paced FPS than the previous Doom
+gun variety and the hook on super shotgun
+visually good looking game
+- Lore that's been created for Doom marine, who previously just punched and shot demons in anger
-some types of enemies are annoying to deal with
-the combat often gets too hectic due to several abilities that you're supposed to keep using constantly in order to deal with the hordes of enemies
-no point to play on Nightmare, you finish the game and don't even get an achievement
-some secrets are in near places of No return, you get one chance to notice it or else you have to replay the whole mission
-main campaign was enjoyable and felt like a properly created experience, DLC on the other hand just felt like they often tossed hordes of the strongest enemies they could into each room and even gave them upgrades
-due to this, I've dropped from Nightmare, because it was too frustrating to finish the DLC
-the PvP is just not really good, you get matched against lvl 100+ people, die in 4 seconds from 6 different guns as a demon and each of the demons feels like a weak version of their campaign self

It's only good for the first few hours, after that I'd not recommend it.
-frustrating hit detection, you dodge a shot and it lands anyway
-lot of levels are poorly designed, it's made to just kill you
-certain levels and enemy combinations just kill you over and over
-your special powers are just "turned off" for boss fights
-very annoying platforming sections, with electricity and instant death
-the end platforming section is god awful, too long and simply poorly made and never tested by anyone
-the ending is, at best VERY underwhelming and NOT worth playing the game till the end
+start of the game is fun and less chaotic
+one hit kill sword that you use is a fun weapon
+aesthetic of the game is in the cyberpunk style
+soundtrack does match the tempo of the game
TLDR:
Play few hours until you have enough and then feel free to quit the game
, you're not gonna miss anything, you'll not feel like you've achieved anything or that you've gotten better at the game, you'll just be annoyed and frustrated. Certain stages are passed just through rng luck, not by skill. Certain platforming sections were spawned from hell. And the ending just comes out of nowhere and bam, game finished. Listen to two mins of inspirational talk and then The end, credits.

//Update 3 - 12/2022 - Conquest - too large maps, enemies are tiny ants, if you get lucky to even see any, vehicles absolutely dominate, game keeps putting you in 6 player queue and it starts for 32 ppl for a 128 people match...also, bots in matches
Rush - never ending grenade spam that I've never seen in my entire life of gaming, 32 players who throw grenades and use airburst on your position, literally one team mate had 70 revives per match, I've had 40 ...
- or it's complete nonsense, like a Rush that's over in 10 mins and our top kills guy has 8 kills
TDM - it's okay, often instant death spawns, I wouldn't play a BF game for it though

After playing the free weekend, I'm uninstalling and waiting for an ACTUAL BATTLEFIELD game, Bad Company 3. Until then, this game is too much even for free. My head literally hurts from all the constant explosions of insane grenade spam, I'm annoyed from running for 2 entire minutes from spawn point to the objective and I'm tired of healing and reviving all my team mates, only to see them in next 2 sec fly into the air. There's still ton of bugs in the game, gunplay is okay, but it doesn't match BC2 or BF3.

It's a flop, no matter how many youtubers try to sell you on "BF is good again"

Generic MMO with great graphics and tab targeting combat that's not fun enough to play through. A game made clearly by a company that has never designed any RPG game before.
- character creator - the wolf race doesn't have a tail, eye colors just don't work it all looks dark, camera is either too far away or too close, all customization options are buried in sub menus
- gameplay - it tries to look like a true action mmo rpg, but it's tab targeting, you literally stand in front of an enemy, fire a spell at it and it goes through the enemy and hits an enemy behind it and when you're too far away, it doesn't hit anything
- almost nothing is narrated, so you'll most likely just skip through the quests, cutscenes are either janky animations of characters with text bubbles or an acted voiced scene, that will make you go: What ? - the main villain could have literally killed you right at the start and didn't, for some arbitrary reason, he instead summons weak enemies and then larger demon - wow, slow down the creativity !
- story, it just escalates from 1 to 11 in few minutes and lacks any impact
+ graphics, very good looking game, spells and overall effects look interesting

Overall it's a shame, if the combat was true action based, it could at least compete with similar games like Vindictus, Black Desert or Tera.
