Very good, perfectly paced and an excellent departure from its doom source.

A fun, forgiving yet still challenging shmup that although short, will not leave you feeling ripped off. Simple, though perhaps a better way of putting it would be calling it uncomplicated. Either way, its a gooder.

This game is exactly what it looks at exactly the right price. Perfect execution, and perfect price point. 10/10

Fun, tightly written and well made game that although short is quite good. I still think its kind of funny that the narrative doesnt acknowledge your actions in game though, like I killed probably 200 people over the course of one playthrough and I didnt get so much as a "Stop killing random people!" pop up. Like, nah man that company may have killed some people but I killed hundreds on my way out, I'm way worse a person then this mystery corpo.

A kid's first game, so occasionally kinda cute but still mostly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

With a little work this game would be great. As it stands now though its still pretty darn good. Cute, not overly long with a decent core gameplay loop.

There are a bunch of small issues though. Enemies getting stuck on bounce pads, on corners, explosive projectiles exploding if your hit box clips into a wall. Stuff like that. Nothing game breaking though which is pretty good given the err petite, development team :P.

If made forty years ago this would have been a coin munching machine. It's fun, fast and unfortunately features fascists. Still, though it feels gross to play as such scum and I wouldn't give the dev any more of my money on principle, it's still a decent game. However, I am baffled by the decision to make the missiles unable to lock on to the largest enemies in the game. Seems like either a simple oversight or perhaps some kind of bizarre stroke of spite.

If I were to describe this game in a single word it would be "Redundant".

So much of what you see is a retread of something else someone else did better. Many of the lines for the units are lifted straight from Starcraft and perhaps more egregious is how a majority of those units (from the main faction) are yoinked right from Starcraft as well. Our main character is just Tracer. Her best bud is just Reinhart. The plot of the game is just doom, and much of the mission structure is just Warcraft. It wears its inspirations so boldly and so brazenly that I genuinely wonder if there is even anything original under all those homages, easter eggs, and references to better, more well-liked series.

Everything this game is trying to be, someone else has done it better and this game will remind you of that fact so frequently that it quickly loses any unique flavor of its own.

Worse yet, it seems filled to the brim with predatory monetization. The demo of the game is disguised as the full game, pulling a bait and switch on unassuming customers and leaving them with only a few missions available. Cosmetics are for sale, missions are for sale, heroes are for sale, pets, etc etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they added loot boxes and a season pass in the coming weeks.

Long story short, if the content can be chopped off the game, and sold to you piecemeal it will be.

I initially added a review of the handful of missions they give you in the “demo” but to be honest they can be summed up in about a sentence each. The first mission is an incredibly boring tutorial mission without any real stakes, and not much going on. The second mission has a bit more to it, with its greater exposition and gameplay depth but you quickly realize there is almost nothing of interest between you and the last fight. The third mission is the most interesting, but that's not a high bar as until now I’ve been absolutely bored to tears. There is even enough to say about it to warrant a second sentence, what with its interesting AI and unique locale though that is about all there is to talk about.

Maybe in six to seven years when the full game goes on sale for the price of a pack of gum, I’ll pick up that full version and give it another shot but until then I’ll sink my teeth into something with more depth, like a ham sandwich, or an empty toilet paper roll.

Fun for aproximently 12 minutes and no more. The method of unlocking more levels is obtuse in the extreme. So much so that any inquiry online automaticly redirects you to the cheat code to just unlock it all without issue. Why a game like this would even put levels behind completion barriers is to be completely frank, really stupid. I am playing this game to have fun with friends, putting obstacles between us and the fun makes me want to quit, not play the game more. This relatively simple decision betrays a deep misunderstanding of the game they are making and the people they are trying to serve.

Cute little tower shooter that admittedly isnt great, but if you are looking for a game that harkens back to the early 00's era of flash games, this is it.
