The game has come such a long damn way its rather insane. I stopped playing around 2018 and didnt really try to pick it up until a week or so ago. Mods change everything. I get how some dont really like including the impact of something like mods but it literally took the game to another level. Its equal to if not above some of the best arma 2 day z mods. Looking forward to seeing what else theyll get done with each new update. Part of me still wants to give Arma Reforger mods a try but for now im pretty satisfied with what Day Z is bringing.

This was going to be the first dlc that I wouldnt pick up, but seeing how CA actually took a step back and corrected the content of this dlc Im happily buying this now. Thank you for listening CA and showing the fans that we really do have a say in the direction this game and its expansions will go.

Can't believe I've NEVER heard of the game until it was in my recommended feed for the Steam Store, one of those rare moments an absolute gem is put on my radar thanks to that feature. This game is quickly becoming one of my favorite ways to kill time and unwind after a long day. You can literally tailor make each playthrough to make it as easy or hard to play through the modifiers presented at the beginning of the campaign your setting up, and you can even change said modifiers mid-campaign too!! I absolutely love this game and am looking forward to any and all future content coming from this developer. After 7+ years they continue to pour more love and work into this game to bring it even more features which is one hell of a way to show that they are in these games for the long run and truly love the work they create.

Early Access Review
This game is simple yet seriously addicting with some serious depth. I reaaaally enjoy jumping into a game or two everyday just to see if I can find a different build or combo that will get me farther than ever! This game has easily become one of my top 5 games of all time and I'm beyond excited to see what the future has in store for this game!!

So after sinking 300+ hours into this game and streaming it I feel like I'm still having fresh encounters and new experiences each play through. Now don't get me wrong my game is heavily modded. But this latest DLC I did the unthinkable and went back to vanilla.... And was pleasantly suprised!! Seriously they are getting this game down to a fine product and Im happy to say I've supported nearly every step! The only thing I truly refuse to buy for this game is the Beastmen dlc. Nothing against the game I just viscerally hate Beastmen and theres nothing that will change said opinion lol! O and when is TW:WH3 coming CA?!?!?!? I just can't wait for any tidbit of info lol

So there seems to be a bit of hate for the DLC pack.... I don't understand why though. Truly it made searching out anomalies a fun and interesting thing to do again. Before it was put all the science vessels on auto and see what you find. I find myself more and more following a specific Scientist around as they either become the salvation or damnation of their empires. I want much more of this and then some. Interested to see where this all leads too.

Ok so after committing 200+hours over the last 2 weeks that I have bought the game I can happily say a few things positive and a couple negatives.

Let's start with the negatives. Now truly if you were too buy the base game of Stellaris and expect a fully fleshed out 4X gameplay and beautiful environments you really would be half satisfied. With all the content that is added through dlc the base game looks sorely lacking in numerous areas. The only other think that truly irks me is being locked basically too 4 maps that get truly boring after your 200 hundredth playthrough. The last thing is it seems the modding community is struggling to either adapt or keep pace with the changes that the developer makes. Now I mean no slight towards anyone who devotes their time to making a game better through their own works. It just seems that the tools given to mod the game are still almost the same ones as what they gave the community on a few months after releasing Stellaris.

So now we come to the part where I simply scream at the top of my lungs "I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!". Now to even basically address the very issues I brought up myself thanks to user generated content in the Steam Workshop most of my severe drawbacks were immediately cured. Then to top it all of the content added through the dlc truly polishes off a fine piece of work.

If they keep going in the direction of getting feedback from the community and implementing chages while at the same time continually adding new content this will be a supreme 4X game.

Let me start by saying I have logged an accumulated 830+ hours into this game alone. I have another 1000+ hours into other Paradox games and I truly appreciated them as an indie developer who put out content packed games based on some form of strategy or tactics or another. But now as it seems they become a more cemented and mainstay developer they seem to be on the path of trying to bleed loyal customers dry. I would have to sink into this game over 200+dollars now to have a complete experience with all the new additions. Im not trying to say as in they sold us an uncomplete game but as we all know Paradox fans are some of the most loyal and near sighted group of fanboys you can have at times. We have blindly allowed them to attempt to become the Activision of RTS and strategy games. I truly still appreciate the games and content the release but at this point I can no longer bring myself to buy another bit of DLC until they get there priorities straight. I know every company needs growth and that every company charges for DLC but if you compare the total price of game plus the DLC to any other game out on the market and the comparison you get is utterly appauling. Guys and gals I truly love Paradox as stated above but it is nigh time to get them to come off this DLC trip.

Honestly I am a CK 2 veteran who has logged almost 800 hours into that game. Ive only put about 38 hours into this game due to the odd mechanics they applied to a very short period in which spans only about a decade while the engine that they used from CK2 and Europa causes a very rushed and overly simplified view to the events of the era. I do like the idea and concept of the overall plan for this game but it lacks a lot in the overall diplomacy and interactions between nations and on top of that it is truly lacking the overall grandeuse of some of the major events such as Napoleon's coronation and even his installment of family members as rulers. They do give you a few simple options for these events but I find them sorely lacking. I came to the assumption that through updates Paradox would modify and add to this game but due to its lacking of popularity I guess they decided to simply put it to the wayside. Overall decent game and recommend buying it on sale. Hopefully will eventually be updated and reconfigured but the light at the end of the tunnel is very dim.

Honestly I could have never even begun to comprehend the difference in the amount of content between the Xbox 360 version, AKA SKIMPY POS, to the PC version would be so huge!!! I'm still just browsing the Steam Workshop for as much content as possible to make my game as perfect as it ever could of been in my dreams. I had atleast 720 hours commited in the Xbox version so Im sure I will now be utterly consumed due to the intense immersion into the Skyrim world that user created content has now generated.

Simply put buy this for the PC as soon as you get the damn chance. Your life will be changed.
