at first i didnt like playing as the new character.
but as time moves on, within 1 and a half episodes he grew on me.
i liked javi! and the new story that you play has you explore new things from a different point of view
and the ending episode actually has multiple endings you can pick from by your choices.

always been a point i was kinda ''meh'' about with the games that it seemed like they were claiming what you did made a difference while the ending remained roughly the same.
but in this season it actually matters.

in order of favorite seasons :
season 1 > this one > season 2
why? because i liked this character more for how he gets treated, season 2 takes an unrealistic approach for me how people rely on little clem too much.
here it feels legit.

the port is a bad job, with a gtx 1080 and high end I7
and 16 gb of ram.
there is no excuse for this game to dip to 30- from 60 from even simply casting a spell.
buy the ps4 version

this game is absolutely brutal! i love it!
the one problem i have though is the framerate on my gtx 1080.
its absolutely bad and i cant see why.
this seems to be a common complaint though with the graphics card and this game.

other then the framerate you have to know that there is NO CO-OP no split screen nor online

the gameplay is the well known dynasty warriors style gameplay with a few tweaks that i personally love!

a solid 8/10 for me, 10/10 if it had online co-op and stable framerate

♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ have i never seen so many dickjokes in my life in 1 game.
the humor in this game is a riot, i tend to like it a lot.

the combat is where this game shines, it is so satisfying, the chainsaw is my waifu.
i would ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to it, there is a high variety of weapons that play differently and a variety of skills to use the weapons with.
melee weapons, ranged weapons like machine guns, pistols, grenade launcher, all that good stuff!

this game is without a doubt a casual game with all of the drunk laughs and jokes alike.
playing it co-op is also the best experience i can imagine.

the story is aware of how the game is and does not take itself seriously, i love it that way because that would just ruin the experience.

this game to me is a solid 10/10! a minor nitpick : randomly my co-op partner disconnects sometimes,
wich is a minor annoyance,

while the concept is nice, and i like how the parkouring idea would work in a zombie apocalypse game.
this game hasnt done it in a way that i would consider right.
sometimes even though you do the execution of the controls perfectly (PS4 controller) it does not always seem to work.
leading to falling to your death or be near death and mauled by nearby zombies and still die.

the leveling up system is a neat idea, but i thought that having all the experience you get from parkouring and combat goes into 1 pool so you can pick what you want to level up.
because leveling up parkouring was a tedious thing to do in my opinion, you simply get the experience too slow for my taste.

the story is lackluster but passable, the voice acting was fine. though the main villain really annoyed me.

the weapon system is directly taken from their earlyer titles : dead island & dead island riptide.
but with the added option of repairing a few times on the go before breaking completely, so dont get too attached to your weapons because you wont keep them forever.

the many zombie types make for the game to have variety even though the ones that just turned to me seem to be a little too fast. the nightmares at night give off a threat that i personally like! if only you were able to stalk them and execute them with a skill you can get later on. they feel a bit too strong to me, though 2 clips of a double barreled seems to take care of them.

overall i would say the game is a 5/10, 6/10 if you have a co-op partner

without a doubt one of the best experiences i have ever played.
not as much gameplay but its like a long movie that you control of what the main character says, meeting a colorfull bunch of characters that you can bond with and they will help you out in your fight for survival.

if you are expecting to do a lot of things in this game like running and gunning. not the game for you.
its very heavy on the story and not for the feint of heart.
9/10 - a fantastic experience!

i cant get past how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the controls are, yuck... i want a refund

like animé?
like swordfighting?
like memes?
hate stealth?
like quicktime events?
want to have all that in 1 game?
buy it, its satisfying for a while but i can see it getting repetitive.

i finished it in 2 days, and id recommend it to people that enjoy hack and slash games.
big problem : the only ways of defending yourself is parrying, and that is allocated to the light attack button, and i think it is not programmed to be 100% accurate all of the times.

metal gear fans will hate this game probably

this game is a behemoth of a monster.
its just so awesome! no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, rarely any distractions, just gameplay.
refreshing to play for funsies instead of story driven games, controls are easy.
graphics a joy to look at, guns are worthy of the previous games legacy.
all round : a solid 10/10 single player experience
