One of the most realistic train simulators available from a driving perspective and endorsed by manufacturers. Unfortunately the game is based on very old code and is incredibly buggy and hardware dependent. Does not work reliably with high quality speaker systems and looks different on with various GPU's. It sometimes feels like I spend more time troubleshooting this game than actually playing it.

If you do have problems expect the most carefree support experience possible. Do not expect bugs to be repaired any time within a year, if ever!

It is an interesting route for an Edinburgh resident to drive around and goes to places I like to visit one real life. The issue that prevents me form recommending this is that there are serious graphical faults with some graphics cards. There are issues with textures coming out of the ground, ballast and other ground textures hovering in mid air, however it looks OK on my AMD Radeon Pro 580X which I have access to on another machine. It should not be necessary to use specific graphics cards for a single route to work, and this is the only route in my vast collection with this issue. Even with the compatible graphics card there are passengers walking in mid air in front of trains at some stations.

If the above issues were fixed I'd highly recommend this add-on!

After spending £84.96 on this and the other volumes my FSX-SE installation is unusable. I had to leave my high spec computer running over night to get FSX-SE started for morning, and subsequent launches take unto an hour at-least.
I requested a refund but because the game took so long to launch Steam registers my playtime at 6 hours, although in reality I have only flown 1 hour. Steam blatantly closed my refund request and have left me with an unplayable FSX-SE installation.

Please don't suffer with me! don't buy this!
