Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is a phenomenal puzzle/platforming game about, you guessed it, two brothers. While I give this game a 10/10 and highly recommend it to pretty much any gamer, I also have to be honest that I bought it for a few bucks during the steam summer sale. Had I made the purchase for $14.99 only to get about 3 hours out of it I might not be as praising. That being said, if you can get it for anything under say $10, or have a buddy who will let you play it. DO IT! This is a change of pace from pretty much everything else out there and I think I can safely say you'll be sad if you miss out.

Graphically, this game is pretty appealing. The plot is basic enough for a short game and, while there isn't much story on the surface, there's plenty of little interactions and side events to keep you from getting bored of the climbing and skirting around (most of which involve the achievements and really don't take any extra effort except a little curiosity). The soundtrack is fitting and really sets the mood as well.

Don't come into this game expecting and brain-busting puzzles either, as they're all pretty much laid out in front of you and can be quickly identified. However, as mentioned in another review, this kind of adds to the sense of urgency of the quest of the brothers.

As for the controls, it doens't take long to get used to the whole one joystick to a character deal, but I did find it a little annoying trying to move around as the camera angle rotated clumsily about clumsily. I also played through the first half with my keyboard because I was too lazy to go get my controller. Don't recommend that either. It's doable, but a little trickier and switching to a controller halfway through put me back at square one in the learning curve.

Overall, this is an emotionally powerful and unique game that will surprise you around each corner. Enjoy!
