This review is coming from someone who has approximately 9,000 hours of playtime across more than a decade of Runescape on my main account.

I love Runescape and it has been a game that I have been able to play for long long periods of time, take breaks from and come back after months and still love the game. The learning curve at the beginning of the game may be daunting, trying to understand what makes abilities and gear better than the other or parsing through the endless amounts of information about how to play 'efficiently'. Once you get to a point where you feel comfortable with the game, which is very doable given the community here. In all my time playing I have found that the vast majority of players are very friendly and helpful in willing to help newer players learn more about the game.

Of course the game has its flaws, which can include long periods of time between large updates, lack of communication from developers and a lack of easily available information within the game world from the engine.

All in all, my greatest recommendation would be to give the game some time and find something that you can do and enjoy in Runescape. In my opinion its greatest strength is that you can find your own path and play the game in a way that you find entertaining and always feel that you are making progress towards some goal. Don't get swept away in the efficiencyscape mentality unless that is the way that you enjoy the game as well.

Great game so far. I really enjoy the animation style and the relaxed gameplay that is very different from isaac. If you think deeply then the game isnt too difficult but its enjoyable to play through and the characters feel quite different as well.

I love this game! I'm only 10ish hours in so far but it has me hooked, I've only been playing for 3 days and I just keep wanting to come back. The game is pretty polished although a few of the enemy noises (notably the psychos) can get a little repetitive. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who wants a decently long, not horribly difficult, and hilarious game. I cant wait to make second and third playthroughs.
