The game never worked well for me - and now that maybe it might run okay on my far-too-expensive computer, it's clear that KSP2 is dead. The publisher still exists - but now that the company making the game has been shuttered, it's reasonable to assume none of the "Early Access" promises are ever going to be achieved. From this it also means 90% of the store page's content could be classified as False Advertising (which can have pretty serious legal consequences for the publisher and/or Valve).

If I hadn't already put in about 27 hours of 50%actual gameplay (at 10fps) and 50% troubleshooting, then I would at least have already refunded the game.

Don't pay money for lies. KSP1 with mods is a better game. Go play KSP1 instead. :-)

Instant fun! Better than Battlefield!

The game in it's current state is designed to have you play for at least 2 hours so it cannot be refunded. After that you're basically screwed. It is essentially a scam at this point.

The game is playable for a few minutes before you notice the first few bugs. But it seems enjoyable for at least a few hours more of grinding. After you've saved your game and come back another day you realise that none of your progress was actually saved and you have to start over from scratch. All that grinding completely wasted.

Of course at that point it is too late to follow the standard process for a refund as it is limited to where you have played for less than 2 hours.

Save your time and energy. Do not buy this scam title. Do not do it even if it is on sale. If I'm unable to get Valve to refund me for this I will ask them to permanently remove it from my account.

The game randomly loses your saves. This has apparently been a bug since it was released in 2017. Hours of progress wiped.

Overall, the game lacks some polish - but it's still fun. Just don't expect it to be better than the later titles in the series.

Verdict: Get it if it's on special and you have a particular love for sniper games.

The tech behind the game is a little dated now - but it looks good for it's age. The animations quickly become repetitive.

The game is fun ; Some specific scenes are pretty difficult to handle but you get plenty of opportunities to retry and there is a sense of achievement in beating them.

Some sections are unnecessarily on rails - for example you're zoomed in on enemies and are supposed to be sniping so you don't even get the choice to unscope, never mind reposition. You're stuck there, scoped, until the enemies are down. Sometimes you're also locked to looking in a specific direction.

Not much to say here, really. There are some sound effects I feel aren't particularly realistic - but all First Person Shooters do it the same way so it'd be unfair to penalise based on that. There's some annoying or glitchy/repeated dialogue. You're following a teammate very closely and he says "Hurry up!" for example.

I finished the game in less than 6 hours of gameplay on medium difficulty. YMMV.

Clearly a labour of love from the developers. Playing "vanilla" has thousands of potential hours of gameplay yet the mod support and community is excellent.

Also, they don't call it Cracktorio for nothing.

Epic game! Practically infinite weapons and so much replayability!

If you've played the first Portal, you'll already be looking forward to this one. But before you think that its just going to be more of the same, you're completely wrong. There's more surprises in Portal 2 and you'll enjoy every minute of it!
