Don't play any new content in this game until 6 months or a year after its release when it finally receives its QOL treatment. These devs have no clue what they're doing with their game. One week they'll nerf something that has been in the game the way it was since release for the worst because they think it's "healthy for the state of the game" next week they'll change it back because the community had an outcry about it. Another week they'll rework an entire economy of a portion of the game to make it easy (much much cheaper) to complete and completely invalidate the time and effort of thousands of players who put up with it with absolutely no compensation (and this change took about 3 years to come).

New content is either buggy to the point of being unplayable, unoptimized, untested, unrewarding, pointless, or any combination of the five. Ultimately what it boils down to is that these developers repeat mistakes they've already made in the past and always promise to "fix it" somewhere down the road, which always means weeks but more than often means months instead. They're utterly incapable of releasing content that doesn't either completely invalidate something else or is ever worth farming for.

Time is not precious to these developers. All of the money they ever make is off skins and cosmetics so mainline content and Quality of Life come second, which makes for a poor experience. Because of the first paragraph of the review, it comes down to a mindgame. Is what you're doing worth your time? Is it going to be worth your time a month from now if you did the same thing? How about a year from now? The sad thing is that the answer to every one of those questions is never clear cut and dry, and I've played other games that don't have this big of a problem. And it wouldn't BE as big of a problem if the developers weren't capable of completely invalidating any time you invest into their game by changing or cutting a block of code no bigger than this review.


I still play because I'm invested and I still enjoy the game from time to time but the new player experience is still as ♥♥♥♥ as can be, and all of the quintessential content in this game is fully soloable. If time is no object to you like it isn't to these developers, then you might enjoy yourself. But I don't have the time for as much of their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as I used to have.

Oh look, I revised my review into this lovely novel on February the 8th of this year and it's now April and we're experiencing a domino cause & effect regarding balance on healing defense targets with a frame ability getting nerfed then reverted with a massive overhaul of existing frames gaining similar functionality to the aforementioned frame. The kicker? Our operators (characters we can use with any frame) are having their own ability to heal defense targets get nerfed harder than the initial warframe's ability was.

I'm not a prophet or anything, I promise you. These devs just don't know when to leave well enough alone and don't LEARN.
