This game slaps. It brings the old DOOM games into the modern era with modern visuals and gameplay. There's not much to say other than that if you like movement shooters accompanied by heavy metal, where you go into the depths of hell to rip and tear until it is done, you'll definitely enjoy this game.

Also, I know DOOM: ETERNAL is supposed to be better in basically every way, but I haven't played it... yet.

Obviously not great (except for the opening video, that is a cinematic masterpiece). It's clearly some Russian kid's attempt at making a Half Life 2 mod, and I find that hard to hate. If he keeps trying maybe he'll make something good eventually, who knows.

All in all, it's no masterpiece, but it doesn't have to be.

Does this game still hold up, 30 years later? Well... The combat holds up quite well considering its age, however, the level design... I'm not a very big fan of.

When you're blasting through the early levels its great but towards the end the levels get more and more complicated and you'll probably have to look up a walkthrough if you don't want to run through the entire level over and over until you find the exit.

The controlls take some getting used to if you're playing the DOS version, but you don't have to play that version. You get three versions of this game when you buy it: The Remastered version, The DOS version and the DOS version with the old controlls. I played on the last one.

The changes are so subtle that you'll barely notice them, but they're there and they're pretty nice. Some things I noticed were:
-slightly updated models for the grunts
-retroified visuals (some textures were just lower in detail for some reason)
-more satisfying to use guns
-grenade pins and dropped ammo make sounds (this tripped me up a number of times making me think someone had chucked a grenade at me)

7/10 - A great way to replay the classic FPS!

Really fun mod that works great both as a sequel to the first one and as it's own thing. It's just Entropy : Zero one, but longer and better and since it's free, there's really no reason not to check it out.

The name Half-Life: Restored and the fact that it has its own Steam page hypes this mod up way more than it deserves. I will now list the things that this mod adds (that I noticed):

-When you walk to the left or right the screen slightly tilts. This doesn't really change much.
-The shotgun and Tau cannon now have idle animations. Pretty neat, but no real gameplay change.
-Vortigaunts can now resurect eachother. I understand why Valve decided to scrap this idea.

4/10 (the new animations were kinda neat)

This mod is really well made and I really enjoyed it. My only gripe is the final boss which I found to be very annoying.

This is a short and fun puzzle game/dating sim where you get a harem of hot demon girls. I really enjoyed it although I do wonder what the devs where thinking when making the second half of the game... (it's really hard. and a not even the same genre of game. what the actuall hell)

Fun free shooter where you use a sentient fish to take down hordes of fruits.
It's free and takes less than an hour to beat so you're not wasting time or money by playing this game, so I would definitely recommend checking it out.
