If you have an itch for some classic Halo multiplayer there is really no reason not to download this game. The prices in the store are ludicrous, but no one's forcing you to buy that, and there's no pay to win stuff.
I played through the campaign on Game Pass and still got the achievements on Steam which was pretty cool. If you're not a fan of open world games, I think the missions are good enough on their own to be worth a playthrough.

Multiplayer:
