First of all, I was a bit disappointed by the last Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments opus (even though it was my first one). The gameplay was a bit boring and the game...waaay too easy (and boring, too) ! You just had to follow the given instruction and the case was solved. It was just a wobbly-point-and-click-with-some-minigames-in-it-to-please-everyone. BUT, coz derz alwais one: the details of the characters were BEAU-TI-FUL.

The Devil's Daughter, now.. I've just finished it and the conclusion of the plot is just.. splendid and so much enjoyable^^
And that's what's new from the previous game: there's quite a transparent, but eventually very interesting main plot, beside the independant cases.
-There are even more minigames than in the previous one, and... alright, wanna do minigames, eh ? There you go !

-Even in "hard" mode, the game remains way too easy and can be finished in a few more hours than Crimes and Punishments.

-The real evolution is that there is an actual murderer, but the clues will never directly point out which suspect is the bad guy, you will always have choice between two or more characters, and then you must use their profile to guess which one would be the murderer. You will have ways to miss informations by failing cold-reading or "forgetting" exposing lies in a conversation. The idea that you can really miss parts of the case makes it more interesting.

-Graphically... the characters are still wonderfully detailed, the world's textures are quite correct, but the animations are AWFUL, they are more than 5 years late, and that's too bad...

Oh, and... THE STORY IS AWESOME.
