If you like top-down racing games, please follow our curator page.
It seems that the game doesn't know, if it wants to be a top-down or a third-person (from behind) racer. From top-down the controls are quite decent, but it is hard to recognize some things (for example if your car is jumping/airborne) and sometimes your seight is even blocked, However you also can't play properly in third-person view because there the controls feel wonky.

The coffin nail for the game is its horrible collision detection. Other reviewers already mentioned it.

For me the game works fine (on Windows 10). No crashes and instant controller support (Xbox 360 controller for PC). Unfortunately I also get this notification (other reviews already mentioned it), which asks, if I not want to buy the full game (of course you already own the full game after buying it). This bug is not very intrusive and you can just ignore it. Otherwise you get a working and very addictive puzzle game with a lively and cheesy Anime presentation (check out the trailer). I did not try the multiplayer, yet - but I heared that even the online mode is still working. There is also a small Discord group dedicated to the game.

If you like pseudo 3D, Super Scaler style games, please follow our curator page.
This game screams so badly for part 2! With more game modes, multiplayer and more waifus on motorcycles to choose from!

For now we have a decent retro super-scaler-style arcade game like Hang On - with tight controls, fantastic music and an adorable red riding heroine.

The biggest issue with the game is that it lacks some content. But what it does, it does very well.

As it is often stressed, Graffiti's Screamer (aka Bleifuss) is a mixture between Namco's first Ridge Racer and Sega's Daytona USA. But to be more detailed: While the first track, the car design and of course the enthusiastic announcer will arouse the charm of Ridge Racer, the game overall (especially track design and gameplay) is more like Daytona. Although Screamer is not nearly as good as one of these giants, it's nonetheless a decent, delightful and very 90s arcade racer for PC.

Pros:
- Authentic 90s arcade racer feeling (although it was never in the arcades)
- Overall good and detailed track design (tracks itself and environment)
- Overall good presentation (intro, animated select screens etc.)
- Good arcady music (but with less character than Ridge Racer or Daytona)
- Pleasant sound effects (you can hear some things from the environment)
- Good and addicting driving mechanics
- An announcer that makes you smile

Cons:
- Sometimes the tracks feel too short and narrow
- Even the slightest collision with another racer is just horrible (it easily can bump you off the track)

I recently discoverd this game and it is still hard for me to believe that it really exists: it is a new old WipEout game... Not just something like WipEout - it IS WipEout without the brand.

If the developers would do the same thing out of Ridge Racer 1-4, I probably would get my retr0rgasm.
