This is a metroidvania much like Hollow Knight and Metroid.
PROS: -Fun and well designed aesthetic. The artwork won't blow you away but it's solid and very enjoyable.
-Takes heavy inspiration from its fellow metroidvanias, but not really in a bad way, I never felt anything was really shoehorned in.
-Controls are fairly tight and responsive. The gameplay is pretty basic, as are the upgrades. Some people may enjoy this.

CONS: -A little bit too easy if you're a vet of the genre. Most bosses don't require much strategy and might take a handful of tries to learn the simple attacks, even the final boss.
-Save points and teleport points are few and far between. Dying to a boss will send you all the way back to your last save point meaning you will will be doing a lot of running around. Overall nothing awful, though.

Overall, it's worth the price they're charging. This probably took about 7 hours (save file time) and 11 hours (steam time played) to complete. Get it if you're a fan of these kind of games. Get it if it's your first type of these games.

Game itself is fantastic. Servers can be a little iffy. Playing with randoms during peak hour for certain countries is.....pretty trash lmao. Best played with a group of four friends or more. Randoms will be either tolerable or godawful.

Fun and addictive. Don't be put off by the whole battle royale thing. This is different. Looking forward to new content in the future. Let's hope sweats don't ruin it.
