If one is looking to get into the hobby and overall setting of Warhammer 40,000 then they can't really go wrong with Space Marine; a game that stars Captain Demetrian Titus of the Ultramarines on his journey to save the Imperial Forge World of Graia from an Ork WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Seamlessly blending third person shooting with hack and slash melee combat and taking us through a journey to save a beleaguered world from vile xenos that comes with all kinds of action sequences, twists and turns; Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is the perfect title to dip your toes into the grim darkness of the 41st millennium.

A loving tribute to the PC-98, visual novels and all things Mecha Manime; Stories From Sol: The Gun-Dog is a great six or so hour romp through a charming sci-fi setting with a great cast of characters, a solid espionage story and wonderful visuals and sound.

There's not many games out there that make me want to hold a cute gal in your arms and there force her to watch Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, though if I had to take a guess it's the jackets that do it!

Metaphor: ReFantazio certainly takes a lot of inspiration from Persona and the other Shin Megami Tensei games but through the wonderful romp in fighting for a better and just world the game makes a name for itself that I believe will stand the test of time alongside the JRPG greats!

If you enjoyed Persona and wanted to take it for a fantasy spin that was darker and more serious with its tone without sacrificing the great characters, snazzy design and incredible soundtrack then I would absolutely recommend Metaphor: ReFantazio!

Heading right back into the swing of things in 2024 with one of my favorite shooters of the year so far with the 80s-tastic Mullet Madjack; a beautiful representation of a bygone age of japanese animation put to shooter form that is the feast for the eyes.

So join me in checking out to see whether or not Madjack is your kinda game and if you wanna start getting into wonderful Bossa Nova music! Video Review Below:

While I enjoyed the first Stasis game there were some issues of its budget and scope that for some might have held the game back as a real masterclass work of Horror Point 'N Click Adventure game. Cayne has it's own issues but it's free so take it as you will.

Stasis: Bone Totem though on the other hand has shown much better The Brotherhood has improved when it comes to crafting an adventure game and I can say that Bone Totem has been one of the best narrative experiences of 2023! They have crafted an interesting, perverse and depressing world that at the center of it all tells the story of a couple and very smart and brave bear on their road of survival, redemption and ultimately of Hope.

I will be looking forward to whatever game The Brotherhood craft next and I can't wait to see what comes next for this universe! Would highly recommend for anyone that enjoys some spookies in a Point 'N Click Adventure form!

While a shorter experience than 2020's Horror of Salazar House this an enjoy series of vignettes that showcases the downfall of two towns to an unknown evil entity. Through this 2 Hour or so experience you'll flip through channels and picture the whole story together channel by channel

Capcom once again knocks it out of the park with how Remakes should be done. This game isn't microwaved leftovers like Dead Space Remake but a full re-imagining of a game that honestly didn't need it but does this remake does it so well that it fits right in with Resi 2 & 3 Remake.

Airdorf has taken a console/aesthetic that I didn't think could be spooky and gave it some real meat. Highlights for me are the incredible rotoscoping, the fantastic OST and a refreshing narrative about a catholic priest trying to correct his wrongs. I would highly recommend it but if you want to know my full thoughts then check out my video below:

One of the underrated masterpieces of gaming; despite being a notoriously difficult game (which is sort of the point), Pathologic 2 creates an incredible world that takes interesting aspects of russian and steppe culture and puts into a nice sickening blender.

A masterclass of improving the broken original and providing a renewed experience for all those that haven't dipped their toes into this fantastic game by Ice-Pick Lodge. For more information watch my video on it below:

Despite a few faults that might irk some people (low inventory space), SIGNALIS is by the far the best horror game released in 2022. A masterclass of narrative with an incredibly rich world and a gripping story central to it all that will leave you thinking of the experience long after you have finished it.

For a more in depth look at the game please take a look at my video review below:
