The steps back from the polished snowrunner game are just too big to get a recommendation right now.
Mainly the UI, crane controls and sound design are too subpar to enjoy this as it is.
The feature of being able to plot routes in the map for yourself seems to be gone too? You can plop down markers that are visible in the 3D world, but it's not really the same.

Some design choices are questionable as well, for instance no winch on anything but scout cars.. Which means that if you flip a truck, you have to ram it with another vehicle to get it up right, which is really frustrating. Let us at least pull a regular cable between two vehicles that does not have winch capabilities to fix this.

I really enjoyed the terraforming and object placement which is just fun.
The bridge placement is extremely 'jank' it does not do a good job of telling you why it's not possible to put down.

You know that meme with the dude mining for diamonds and then turning back right before he hit the diamonds?
That is the roadcraft dev team when they decided on the design philosophy for roadcraft.

Great first impression. Made me want to continue Aava's journey
