Bethesda has completely obliterated this franchise.

I've known about this game since I was about 11. I am now 22 and this game hasn't really made much progress in that time. I think 1 new weapon, a map or two, and some gunplay changes are about the only meaningful additions that the game has had in all this time. Because of how stagnant the game is, there are almost no people playing it but the few that do are pretty fun at least.

If you want a "funny haha" game to play with some friends a few times, it's decent for that but that's about it.

Persona 4 has tomboy. Persona 5 does not.

This game is objectively superior.

The end-game is actually the most miserable I've been with a game in a long time. The game is a great and wonderful experience until you start nearing the end. If you want to get the ending that isn't hot garbage, you have to fight the same rehashed bosses you fought near the beginning of the game but they spawn a ♥♥♥♥ ton of ads to overwhelm you. Then you have to go through a platforming section with very little checkpoints or healing that lasts for way longer than it should(Hiveblood invalidates the entire thing so there's legit no reason to make it this frustrating). And on top of all that you have to deal with backtracking across the map you've backtracked 500 times already(that seals routes off just to make it more annoying) to either find a charm that can help you or do the next thing in the checklist to actually get a satisfying ending. Everything I've done for the past 5 hours of gameplay is just tedious and unfun. Spawning tons of ads in every late boss fight isn't fun. Backtracking this map over and over and over isn't fun. Turning the game into an unforgiving platformer for (x) amount of hours for no reason isn't fun.

I don't even think I'm going to finish the game because of how aggravating the experience has been the last few hours and that's a huge ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shame. Because I really did love this game up until that point. I almost cried at the beauty of the city the first time I explored it. The atmosphere, soundtrack, story, lore, characters, and gameplay are all so good and satisfying. It was such a well-crafted experience up until this point but it just flounders so hard at the end, it's hard for me to actually care anymore.

To me, the experience I've been having has been so aggravating and tedious I wouldn't recommend this game to people. It's just a slog to get through after a certain point.
HOWEVER.
If you think you can deal with the repetitive and annoying end-game, then please buy this game. There isn't anything else like it and it does everything very well for the majority of your play-time.

I decided to try and woo the Gorgon that wouldn't hesitate to step on me and buy out my family. Since she's obsessed with money I constantly went to the library to scam people on the school computers and met her there every day. I got on her good side in the beginning and she told my friend that she was developing feelings for me. My friend decided to be a bro and put in a good word for me. I then proceeded to ♥♥♥♥ up every single chance after that and she rejected me on prom night.

My friend on the other hand just partied the whole time and bought a white bedsheet with 2 holes pokes in it to pretend to be a ghost the whole time(and successfully tricked every single person into believing he was a ghost). He then asked the kinky ghost girl out to prom and she said yes. He was still pretending to be a ghost even on prom night.

This game taught me a valuable lesson. What the lesson was I still don't know but there's a lesson to be had there I'm sure.
