Devs have done an incredible job.

If this issue is solved by Sony, then I will change the review back to positive.

Keep up the hard work Devs. I will continue to play this game.

Early Access Review
For new players: When playing the boss rush galaxy. Four Lives. His green form (Third stage) Don't get hit. He heals off the damage you take.

People say pay to win. How do I pay to win on a game focused around Co-OP?

Pay to get ahead? Pay to catch up?

I looked at the items they give away during the season pass.

The items are 'rare' to 'epic' (Blue/Purple) nothing you can't get after a few runs.
The unlock tokens to start with certain stats? You can get enough to play your favorite characters with the unlocks you want by playing the season pass with another group.
Getting more characters? You get one for getting to 160 on season pass (Drill) with a great deal of Breaker tokens, Cron, and Skill Tree tokens (Name slips me while I write this)

I don't have the season pass. I've been playing since Beta and they had a season pass, but they didn't have the equipment.

As far as the whole game is concerned. I looked through current 05/05/2022 reviews and most of the negative ones are accounts with 20 hours or less in the game and complaining about the season pass hiding things behind a pay wall. Unfortunately they didn't get a chance to actually play the game. There is one guy who has 60 hours in the game and I am curious as to how well he plays the game that he focuses on the season pass.

Don't get me wrong. I was upset when I saw the season pass. Paying for a game I already paid for. I looked through what you get and wasn't happy you got some free gear. Then I found out what the gear was AND matched it to what I had already and told myself, OH. I already have all this gear.

Honestly it looks like a pay to get ahead and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for Drill that will be purchasable after the season pass.

I feel it would excel as a free to play game, you can get away with charging people money for new character/season passes.

I'm interested in seeing what is next for the game. Keep up the work.

It has a steep learning curve, it would be nice if it wasn't so dead! Maybe a captcha system and free accounts?

I bought this game and tried to play it with friends.

The game it self is great but the community is hard to be a part of.

I spawned in with 1 friend (2 babies) and the first thing that happened was my pal was killed. The person said, no twins, most likely trolls.

I know not all tribes have this problem, but the ones that were on for that day did this

So for me to sell this game to a friend as a 'coop' game, became an issue of us trying to find a group who wouldn't kill us outright and ruin our fun.

I did play for a little while, as both an eve and in an established tribe so I can understand the issue with twins triplets or quintuplets spawing into a group.

And you can't really make the game easier if 4 friends decide to start the game.

Overall I can't suggest this game due to the community.

TL:DR Survivors are fun, Killers are laborious to get into a game, and devs should allow a buddy ranking system to allow players to 'de-rank' for a game to fill out the killer queue and make it shorter.

So i wrote a review during a free weekend and enjoyed it very much.

I have since picked up the game and am enjoying at this time (123 hours at time of review)

There are a few small things i would like to pro and con, but ultimatly this game is worth 20$ (Check out the bundle of this and Deathgarden to save a little extra coin)

Pros: Survivors
I am a big fan of quick games. I don't get bothered when i get killed right off the bat and enjoy queuing up for another one.

Queue times for green rank and up is super fast with the lower ranks being a little bit longer.

Cons: The glaring issue with not purchasing DLC characters.
Don't get me wrong, you can make almost anything work in this game, and there are a few builds you just don't do cause gawd waffle.

But for survivors there are a few perks that you 'need' from characters you either have to purchase with real world money or grind out. (In game currency can purchase most unlicensed characters)

All Survivors are technically skins of the same character with new perks.

Killers

Pros: The differing game play mechanics make most of the killers a ton of fun to play.
A play style for everyone.

Cons:
This list is a little longer.

In playing the game, i have only played as a kiler a few times and i am sure this is nothing new but the Queue times are aweful.

You wait (at rank 20 or so) upwards of 8-15 minutes for a game.
You connect and people connect or don't (3-5 minutes)
The game starts and if you're lucky everyone joins (if they don't you are booted to lobby and have to wait another 8-15 for a match)

I am guessing that higher ranks have this problem, but i wouldn't know. I am only rank 18.

Perks that you need are from the Bubba (BBQ and Chili) and the Hag (Hex : ruin) Bubba is licensed so you have to spend real world money on him (not Otzdarva said that BBQ and chili has only been in the relic once in the last 17 months) and Hag you can grind out which is nice.

But the issue is, if you don't have BBQ and Chili you don't get that boost of BP you need to grind out your character. Currently i am using my survivors to fill out my killers, but I queue up for a killer game and watch youtube till my game pops.

Put a counter of killers and Survivors and maybe even a queue time based on your rank. Maybe when there is a surplus of killers allow players to choose to be survivors, or if visa versa, allow killers to queue up.

Allow survivors to queue up with lower rank killers to fill their rooms (Throttle their skills to the appropriate level)

Most likely devs have heard this a billion times and i am shouting into the wind.
