Finally, the 4X sim I've been looking for. The world moves around you whether you involve yourself or not. War when you want, trade when you want. Hold everyone in your pocket when you want.

To be fair, it has "some quirks" that I would like to see fixed. They are still updating the game both vanilla and with dlc. I do hear that some form of multiplayer may be returning, and that some "4X" aspects will be added in the future.

If you are looking for a simple game with a great visual story and some puzzles, then this game is for you. Stray is a short story-based game with fantastic visuals. Need a break from a game that makes you work? Play Stray.

Great for casual open-world/survival players. It has that good peaceful music that makes you want to sit in your wood cabin and forget all your troubles. Wait for rainy day to get extra ambience.

I like it. It's like Sins but with more empire management and turn-based. Or Stellaris but turn-based.

I've only played the base-game so I don't know what differences there are to balance or gameplay.

PLEASE fix some of the technical issues. It's so annoying to have little glitches or show-stopping issues. Crashes, incorrect additions or subtractions, etc. If you can get past all that, you'll probably enjoy the game.

It's a well built turn-based strategy game, though even on the harder levels of difficulty, it's still pretty easy. The comment section agrees. Find friends to play with, will make it more interesting (and hopefully more challenging).

E.Y.E is a great game with a great plot which will give it the great "Whoooooaah, Dude" award. Why? Because who doesn't want their legs to be ok? And who doesn't like getting Brouzouf? Your legs are ok, and you get Brouzouf. There is nothing better. Except the plot. And getting Brouzouf. Brouzouf.

Get it.

Oh and also 32 player server hosting. In Campaign.

Hey, it's 2019. If you don't have this, you clearly aren't earning Brouzouf.

If there was an RTS worth buying in all the world, you are looking at it. You want balance? You've got it. You want a dozen buddies to play with? You got it. Wanna betray your friends? Do it and watch them go nuts. The game has many options for fast and slow players. There are also different gamemodes and ways to win. Graphics are great too.

Now that's part 1. You want more? Mod. The. Game. Moddb has it all from Star Wars to Halo. Full conversions, adding additional playable factions, heck mod it yourself. You'll thank me.

Or don't mod it. Vanilla is just as fun. The factions are balanced and diverse. But if you do mod it, I personally reccomend Sins of a Galactic Empire mod (Star Wars).

I don't want to spoil it for you, so go watch some trailers and read more reviews. Heck go watch some gameplay videos.

Like any Early Access game, they're still working on bugs here and there, but it's still a great game. I encourage you to buy it.

Wanted to get it for a friend because I enjoyed it long ago, but thought I'd take stock on what is and what once was. I'm lazy so I'll make it even easier. Yes, I am and have been a fan since before release. So long story short, the developer's sales started dropping and were unable to continue keeping many of their employees on. That was late 2015-mid 2016. Last update was early 2019. At this point, development even from the volunteer force (I am not in it), has also come to a crawl. No announcements have really been made. While other reviews (which I was motivated by to make an edit) called the game "abandonware", this is technically accurate but not entirely true. The owner very much wants to continue, but lacks certain skills to do it solo. That being said, even the regulars don't do events as much.

I like the game, and if you look at the gameplay, maybe you will too, but if you expect an active online community, then look elsewhere. While it possesses some reasonable content for early-access, it has not addressed various bugs and more simpler improvements. I blame a shifting of direction in early 2015 to its downfall, among other community management mishaps.

I could blame Covid for lack of updates from volunteer force though...
