What's amazing about Her Story is not so much WHAT you find out, but WHEN you find it out. Because the twists, as they come (and there are plenty), will vary from player to player. It is a fantastic excercise in nonlinear storytelling.

The gameplay is reminiscent of a long-forgotten experiment like Majestic. The better you are with Google, the more research-smarts you have, the more you can stick your nose in the business of this police investigation. You'll pore over clips, take notes, build upon your own theories and ultimately come to a conclusion.

Rest assured, there is a conclusion to this story, but when you come to it depends on when you believe you've all the facts in order. It's a good four hours to find most of the clips available.

My only complaint is that I spent in inordinate amount of time trying to rearrange clips in the order that they happened. The interface really makes this a struggle as your collection of clips grows large. I don't think this should be automated, but it should certainly be easier than it is.

A stellar game and an experience you won't find many other places. For five dollars, this is a steal.
