As a WoW refugee after 15 years I can honestly say that the story of this expansion makes WoW's story look like elementary school garbage.

Now to the actual review with as minimal spoilers as possible along with very vague details for those who haven't played the game yet.

In this expansion you are fighting on another world not too different from your own, (a shard of the Source AKA your home world). You and your pals go on to stop the ensuing calamity that looms over this world. During the adventure you are accompanied by a very fine individual with his own motivations that get revealed in time. Throughout the story he reveals more and more of his motivations, along with history of your world and the shards. As you progress through the main story you find yourself questioning your own actions, as what he speaks (IF TRUE) means you may be fighting for the wrong cause. Much later in the story everything gets revealed to you and I myself was incredibly torn between two sides whom were doing everything in the power to do what they thought was right. This expansion pulls on your heart strings and really shows what a true well written morally gray character looks like, something that WoW has yet to do after 15 years. This expansions truly pulls on every fragment of your emotions without a care in the world and it is SO MUCH BETTER FOR DOING IT. A game/movie/book that pulls on your emotions with very relatable characters and a well written story are always the ones to be remembered. This expansions is that exact thing. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT SKIP THE CUTSCENES and remember that we once lived!
