The core of the game is quaint and interest-piquing, but the reality of gameplay is repetitive and grindy. The game puts too much emphasis on the unintuitive and mind-numbing aspects of ordinary business management, locking advancement behind menial, unrewarding grind.

The humour didn't necessarily always hit the spot, but it is an intriguing game, and makes you think. The cost of two euros does not really reflect how little content there actually is, however, so I would recommend grabbing it off a sale or in a bundle.

As much as I want to love this game, I ran into numerous performance issues, including but not limited to straight-out crashes. I might return to the game one day, alas for now I cannot; I do not deem issues of this magnitude to be acceptable from a 60€ game.

A phenomenal game, certainly one of the best in its genre.

Love the setting, love the story, love the characters. The game has come a long way since launch, but still has plenty of bugs. I have two gamethroughs under my belt, and a not-insignificant amount of time of both was required for solving bug-related issues. That being said, I do still recommend the game.

The game is not great. Building decks of your own is very difficult unless you invest money into the game through the microtransactions, which in turn are extremely overpriced. You would think that buying cards in an electronic alternative to an actual card game would be cheaper, but it is often the opposite. Earning stuff through gameplay is likewise tediously slow and extremely limited. The game is unfun and unrewarding, cannot recommend, go play Heartstone or something instead.

The game is not without flaw, but is regardless one of the best I ever played. A heartfelt recommendation.

Gets old fast, and the drama is tiring.

Apex Legends is a mechanically solid and overall fun game, but suffers from a variety of technical issues pertaining matchmaking and the lobby-system. Regardless, as it is a free-to-play game, I encourage you to try it out.

Whilst a promising title, I cannot recommend the game in its current state. The constant, never-ending enemy attacks on your base of operations are a headache and disallow you from focusing on building, in addition to scaling based on your base size, regardless of the level of equipment you poses on your person, often leading to overpowered enemies and subsequent deaths. With early-game equipment, even a single enemy can be challenging and dangerous, and as the numbers grow, the game is virtually unplayable, as surviving combat becomes unlikely,

Speaking of the building system, it is quite different from the original game, though does still have some similarities. Whilst the inherent idea of the changes to it is quite nice, the practical side of things makes for tedious gameplay and leads to frustration in the many occasions where the system refuses to cooperate with the player, e.g. when constructing in water or on cliffs.

Furthermore, I really despise the inventory system, which was miles better in the original Forest. The system Sons of the Forest uses is far less smooth, and leads to confusion due to the whole inventory not being visible at a glance, and requiring you to search for items by moving the camera; which in turn doesn't always respond to your hopes and wishes, leaving you frustrated and without the item you are searching for. Changing in and out of the inventory is also prone to FPS drops and rendering issues.
