HELLDIVERS, your outstanding performance has seen to it that our elected officials, ever grateful for your heroic efforts, can continue to serve managed democracy even when the front line is on their door step! S.O.N.Y. insurgents may continue attempt their insidious attacks, but with the bastion of liberty firmly reinforced their chances dwindle by the second. Once again, Super Earth thanks all of you for upholding our freedoms, and ensuring our way of life is ever safe from threat!

As valve has begun taking action against not just the bots, but the cheaters too, I am reinstating my positive review, as I genuinely love this game. There are people with more hours than me, sure, but this is, by far, the most played game in my entire library.

Basic loop is fairly simple, you and your team have an objective that varies from map to map, and you seek to accomplish that objective with your team. Now, just because you have an objective doesn't mean you need to accomplish it, sometimes it can be fun to just collectively share a single brain cell and be a bunch of goofballs. Like being holiday punched by a heavy, who then prepares to shoot you with a finger gun, only to explode themself with a keybind at the last moment. It's a silly game with silly moments, and I love it.
