I've been trying to figure out how to review this... It's not a bad game, but it's just bland. There's some interesting mechanics, yes, but how they're used... It's boring, and when you compare one level to another, there's really no difference.

There's just no level that makes you go "wow, what an incredible experience", rather it's just monotonous. Seemingly randomly generated levels can be fun for a while, but some creativity needs to be present. Compare computer generated Sudoku puzzles to hand made ones if you want to see what I mean.

What I'd suggest to the devs is changing the star levels, at the very least, to be creative and actually make you think, rather than the strategy being clicking without thought.

Good game, although I do prefer the main map of... Labyrinth, I believe. It maintains the same feeling as the older games, although it is simultaneously easy and harder than Labyrinth. I'd highly recommend this to anyone, especially if you liked the old games and wanted to experience some nostalgia.

Even though I'm far from good at this game, I do really enjoy it despite being a person who generally prefers grand strategy games.

Crusader Kings II is one of the best games I have played. I especially like to play as the Byzantine Empire, and try to recreate the Roman Empire. Sadly lost the save between updates, a downside of this beautiful game.
