This indie game is amazing! One part Truman Show, another part Logan's Run. The voice acting is top notch, the story is fantastic, the different perspectives are well handled. This is easily one of my favorite indie games of 2023!

Full disclosure I did receive a free copy to stream (so take this review as you will with that info). Right off the bat I want to say I really enjoyed the game! I'm a big fan of roguelite games that have a story and a level up system that persists even after death. Some people have mentioned they've had issues with their game crashing? This is something I did not experience personally as the game was rock solid. I like the card system that feeds into the RNG, I enjoyed the fast paced combat, and thought they did a great job on the environment. I do wish there was voice acting in the game to push the narrative even further. I also hope they'll add more weapons to increase the variation of combat. Overall enjoyed the game and plan on playing more in the future.

As I worked on Tales From The Borderlands while at Telltale Games, you can take my review as possibly biased. I often get asked, "what was my favorite game to work on at Telltale?" Every single time I say, "Tales From The Borderlands." I'm a huge Borderlands fan myself, so I love the other games in the series. But I take pride that I can recommend this title to all. Whether you're a fan of Borderlands, or haven't been so due to the other games being FPS. I can guarantee you'll love the writing in this one, the opening music intros, and the zany adventures all the characters get caught up in (don't believe me, take a look at the hours).
