First off, please remember that this is an early access game if you plan to buy it.

The Forest is by far one of the best alpha's you can buy on steam.
It's gorgeous, entertaining and sometimes creepy.
Many things in this game (so far) are done amazingly, everything is interactable and the crafting and AI are very good for an Alpha.

That being said this game does have some downsides.
The combat in the game leaves a lot to be desired. The enemies take a very long time to kill even with an Axe. And a lot of the times a tribe member will just rush you and kill you in one hit. Hopefully they add more weapons into the game like bows or knives even.

Also you will get the occasional graphic bug in this game. When you wake up in a cave and manage to fight your way out of it, the draw distance will kick in and suddenly you will have trees and grasses and bushes popping up in front of you.

and MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A SOMEWHAT BEEFY GRAPHICS CARD. This game is very graphic, even on the lowest setting, and at the moment it is damn near impossible to play if you are lagging.

Overall this game (for alpha) is an 8/10.

One of the best free-to-plays on steam. Ever.
