If anyone here was thinking about this game, honestly... I can recommend it, the campaign with some diverging and looking about, it is entirely linear, takes about 10 hours or so, with friends probably less, but there's operations and while right now there are only six of them the intent is to play them one at a time, bump the difficulty, and repeat over and over until you max out and there IS PvP which I won't touch because I hate that crap and some people claim there's a lot of hackers despite EAC being packed in, ultimately the campaign though is well enough made that it warrants some praise despite how short it is, the characters are all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but killing bugs and heretics is what it really is about and other than a few issues that will probably be fixed upon actual release it was fairly satisfying and the short length probably does it a favor in preventing it from becoming stale, hope they do something to prevent that further. Some other things, the guns mostly feel all the same, there's some exceptions, but the very minor stat changes aren't enough to make most of them feel any different than the rest and most of them are pretty mediocre, ended sticking with the sniper or carbines as the other rifles are were kind rubbish, only three "side arms" which are actually your real weapons once you realize the "primaries" are kind of weak or niche. Performance was exactly as they claimed base on recommended specs which I ironically just happened to have a 5800x and 3070ti, changing the desired FPS to 90 and having DLSS set to dynamic meant I always had the minimum FPS I wanted and the only performance issue I had was stuttering related to loading in the second mission, apparently NVME SSDs aren't fast enough for this game. Needs some work with combat too, too often you go to parry an enemies attack, get hit from behind, and suddenly during the entire duration of the animation you take full damage because now the parry is considered void, now you are stun locked and probably will lose all your armor and 80% of your health before you can move again, this is at "normal" difficulty, definitely needs fixing.

Best game, honestly I feel the base game is probably worth $60 by itself, but the fact you get all the best DLC they have... nice. Plus playing the game again isn't boring, even though there isn't any branching story, you should still have fun (playing with friends is recommended). The graphics are beautiful, the zombies are annoying, killing them is more fun than not, and Rais can suck it.

Seriously though, the heavy scripting for zombies grabbing you is the most f***ing annoying thing ever, like it'll force you to do a full 180 and fall into their arms and sometimes instant escape abilities don't work at all. THEN there is the super annoying zombie horde mechanic, where if they are in a horde hitting them will cause them to stagger and pretty much take zero damage, while at the same time them staggering causes them to move even closer to you and does damage to you, so hitting them does more damage to you than them.

But other than that... I'd be more than willing to pay even $70 for this game. (I did actually gift this game to my friend as well so we could play together, got it on sale so I spent only $40ish). If it goes on sale, you like zombies, you like parkour (imagine Assassin's Creed, but the characters aren't stupid most of the time), you hate children in Skyrin, and you like spooky night time adventures... buy the game... assuming you have a good enough computer, even on potato settings this game is demanding.
