The reason I bought the base game was in order to play this DLC. Normally, buying a game purely for some DLC content is ill-advised, but this and the game itself are pretty inexpensive to buy together, even when they aren't on sale. Not to mention, this DLC is that good. It has tons of unlockable characters from throughout the history of the series, including some very deep cuts (Sonia Belmont isn't even canon, and she's one of the earliest characters you get from this!). The map that's included is more exploration-focused than those I've seen in the regular game, giving it a very different gameplay flavor, as well as representing the fact that the series has always had finding secrets in the environment as part of its identity (though before SotN this was mostly wall chicken). Really, this DLC is amazing and I highly recommend it to anybody who enjoys the base game and/or is a huge Castlevania fan.

At first, I thought Vampire Survivors would be just a meme game, and I got it purely because I had heard the Castlevania DLC was that good (and said DLC is, in fact, that good), but it has a very satisfying game loop where you start out underpowered, but as the run goes on you eventually become a swirling vortex of destruction. Not to mention there are so many secrets that getting them becomes a sort of meta puzzle where you need to figure out what to do in order to unlock the next thing.

This collection was in development for several years, and it was worth the wait. Featuring 48 great retro-style games, as well as Combatants and Star Waspir, a wide range of genres is featured in this collection. There are metroidvanias, RPGs, deckbuilders, a 4X, puzzlers, shmups, and so on! And all of it is wrapped up in an intriguing metaplot that I refuse to spoil, and which, as of this review, the community may not have even entirely gotten to the bottom of yet. The only problems I have with this collection are a lack of online play and that some of the games could have been better, but overall, it's a package well worth the price, and I highly recommend it.

This is a first-person word puzzle game with some elements of Antichamber thrown in. There is quite a lot to discover in this game, and many of the puzzles are very challenging. And I do, in fact, mean that they can get difficult. Do not be afraid to use hints if you find yourself stuck.

I've been playing the browser version on and off for years, and now it's on Steam so I guess I'm writing this review. This is a fun game, some matchups aside (*cough* Buoy/Topple VS Topple *cough*). It's a free mini-MMO that's exactly what it looks like. It has PvP, dungeons to explore, and if you're a shiny hunter then good news, because the game has that too.

Daemon is my favorite Familiar, design-wise.

This game lets you save universes with the power of friendship and a flying robot fist you found.

Almost a year after this game came out, I'm finally writing on here that it is truly a sequel that was worth the wait, and it improves on the original in pretty much every way, when the first game was already great. It's bigger, plays better, sounds better, looks better, and even the storytelling is improved. I highly recommend it (and the first game) to anybody who enjoys games about fast animals, fighting giant bosses, or just really want a great 2D platformer.

Gosh I love the limited 3D they use for this game. It's so charming.

A Monster Tamer/Creature Collector with Metroidvania/Search Action elements. Instead of finding abilities and them becoming inherent to your character, most exploration abilities are tied to the monsters you have. Combat is 3v3 and turn-based with a lot of depth and customization. It's also very challenging and certain boss fights will absolutely destroy you (though there's an easy mode if you need it). There's a pretty extensive post-game, too, though you're likely to already be at the level cap when you reach the final boss of the main story. The monster designs are appealing and have a lot of personality.

I don't know how to end this, I've just been listing points as they come up in my brain. But basically, video game is good.
