Really fun puzzle game with a great philosophical backing narrative.

It poses fun philosophical questions, like what makes a person a person, what is Good or bad, or if it can be objectively measured, and points out flaws in arguments depending on what you pick.

Little bits of the story and what is happening are revealed thru the terminal, and piecing things together with audio logs makes for great reveals and developing characters.

While you can "beat" the game without solving puzzles, there are additional endings to completing more puzzles.

The puzzles for the "true" ending are very difficult, but certainly not unfair.

Collecting 100% of stars (extreme imo) is a bit unfair, especially with one requiring that you scan a QR code with your actual phone to find out what it means. It will definitely double your playtime as opposed to just beating the game normally.

A game designed to make you sad- and executes it exceptionally well

The gameplay is pretty normal stealth gameplay... nothing too innovative or crazy, some puzzles are nice, and they do help connect you to the story and make you feel like you're the one actually figuring out the machinery.

I cry every tiem.

Short and sweet game, simple platforming, fun enemies, combat is simple enough to remember to pick it back up at any time. Artwork is really pretty too.

These devs have made enough money and not enough support for duel servers / core engine issues that cause ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up blocking, attacks ghosting thru players, input eating.

if the game worked perfectly and didnt have hitreg issues, connection issues, bad servers, it would be good. anti-cheat does a pretty pathetic job on keeping people who want to ruin the game out especially on duel servers.

Lack of custom workshop support is what really limited mordhau. and this game is doing the same thing. 30TPS servers also account for alot of ♥♥♥♥ hitreg issues.

If you don't care about the game being solid then its fun. TO is a fun mess and its a goofy time with friends. if you want a serious game then its like. somewhat okay. until the issues keep you from fully enjoying the game knowing at least 5-15% of ur inputs are just not read properly.

Probably the best sword fighting game on VR

THE GOOD:

- Very nice visuals, in my opinion this is the best looking vr game i've played, very aesthetically consistent and pleasing

- Good audio design ; I'm pretty impressed with attention to detail like hits on chainmail actually sounding like chainmail and hits on metal and such, some sounds such as skeletons are low bitrate though.

- Easy to play, but plenty of room to show off your skill with specific weapon types being better on some enemies than others, as well as exposed parts in the armor you can hit to do extra damage.

- Enemies aren't stupid, compared to other games these enemies are geniuses and they will try to predict your swings, backpeddle, block in specific directions, or even roll away, I'm very impressed with the AI in this game.

- Parrying/blocking feels way more rewarding in this game than others, since it is physics based and not just some hitbox requirement, you actually have to properly protect your body or else you're going to get hit, and enemies dont wildly stagger when you parry them softly, unless you knock them out of the way with force they will continue to pose a threat.

- Plenty of cool weapons, armor, potions to play around with and have different playstyles. These unlock prorgessively and it feels cool to get bigger and stronger weapons and armor.

- A very nice training mode which is very fun and good for exercise


THE CAN BE IMPROVED:

- Some audio files are low quality not as in bad sounds, but the literal quality

- I do not like the fact the enemies can trip and fall, or at least the amount of time they are on the ground is ridiculous and should absolutely be changed, this leads to just cheesable fights that arent very rewarding

- Some enemy attacks are poorly telegraphed, such as spin moves

- Hit feedback can be pretty confusing, first time I was playing this game I wasn't sure if I was even doing damage to armored opponents, Dark Knight also has this problem where its animation will take a moment to play after you hit it, feeling off.

- Too many arenas are just the same but with different backdrops, my favorite stages in this game were the bonus stages (bar, dungeon, Fort ) because of the actual difference in terrain

- Only 3 really unique enemy patterns, zombies are normal, skeeltons are fast, dark knights are tanky and strong. I wish there was some more variation in their attack patterns.

- No tutorial, which is not really that important because blocking is kind of intuitive anyway as the hitboxes are 1:1 in this game.

CONCLUSION :
Would definitely recommend you purchase IMMEDIATELY!!!!! Even with its cons, I've found this game to be the most satisfying Sword fighting VR game to date. I hope to see more updates / other games from these developers.
