As a veteran of the hero/class shooters genre from as far back as the early days of TFC, it's good to see the biggest IP in the world of heroes and villains not only get involved, but make something great right out of the gate. Hopefully they do what we would expect from Marvel and keep it awesome for us. As of right now, I absolutely endorse the game to get on and play with friends or even to just play on your own to play some of your favorite Marvel characters. Lots of fun and tons of action for all skill levels!

I was already an enjoyer of bullet hell games before a friend gifted me this. Best one I've played yet, by far. The music keeps that vibe with the retro look while also feeling in line with modern day music. The art style is the kind of smoothed out retro style you expect of older games that have been properly polished up to today's standards of how game animation should look. The gameplay is smooth and solid. Movement is smooth. And its biggest perk is balance. It's so well balanced all the way through so far. It keeps it challenging while also giving you the ability to dominate and satisfyingly wipe out hordes of foes to make the grind to get there feel worth it, and you come out from even the shorter runs feeling like you accomplished something. And it's a great game in the fact you can pick it up and leave back off at your own whim, not dictated by story checkpoints or anything like that. And my personal favorite: no bugs or crashes or glitches so far for me. I spoke with a fellow content creator while he was streaming this game, and we collectively give it an easy 9/10

Another great, relaxing, short 'search and find' game from these guys. Thanks for all these!

Just like all their other 'find the animal' games, it's relatively short, very relaxed, very cute, and good for the brain!

EDIT 3: I have to backpedal here and not recommend it after all, the BSOD issue is still happening, sure, but too often. It does feel like wasted money now, kinda.

EDIT 2: Ok fine.... it really is a good game. And while the BSOD issue is still going to be a nuisance.... as long as you can find the fixes online, it's a lot of fun. Recommending anyway.

EDIT: Thanks ONLY to a handful of DSP players in forums who found workarounds to this BSOD nonsense, I am actually able to play now. The game itself is fun. Still the occasional BSOD but FAR less often. Again, thanks to players. It's sad that the player base has to fix things that the developer clearly has no intentions of addressing, and it's just as sad that the rest of us have to search down and utilize these fixes just to play a game we paid for in the first place. Fix this breaking issue on the developer end and it would be worth paying for. As of right now though, it still is not and I do not recommend wasting money since you absolutely cannot be sure that it will even work for you. Worse than trying to play an old GFWL game.

[ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW:]

In the game's current state I absolutely cannot recommend it. I play many games, some far more resource intensive than DSP. I can never get past 10 minutes of play time without it freezing my system, causing a BSOD. It has not yet done any better than 10 minutes before it does it, and checking forums in different places I'm not nearly the only one having this problem. I don't go anywhere past normal enough system resource use when it runs. NO other game or program I run does this, ever. Not even once. And I am often livestreaming those games as well. This game won't even run without the BSOD, when NOTHING else is running on my pc. No, it's not a hardware issue. It's this software. It's the only thing on my entire PC that seems to want to cause system damages. The worst part is it's apparently been a known issue for a while and the developer has yet to address the issue. Not sure where all the other game devs can make their games stable and optimized enough not to cause system failure, and these guys just can't. Seriously considering going for a refund. Disappointing as I was actually looking forward to playing it. Too bad I can't run the game I paid for due to pure developer laziness. Or incompetence. One or the other.

This game was incredible in its day, and would still be even now. Miss being able to play this up with some good friends. Would love to see it come back to its glory! Too bad it wasn't a real game dev company handling it, perhaps they wouldn't have gone all Amber Heard on the bed with it.

I know relatively speaking I'm not that far into the game, but it feels like I've made some serious progress. I've been waiting to write a review until I experienced more of the game. The progress feels so steady, it builds up offline time nicely and you can progress with just a small bit of play time each day. It's got hilarious content, bunch of achievements to earn, TONS of stuff to open and unlock and level up in a wide variety of ways. Super simple, self explanatory enough (a few things, like fruits, could use a little more info), and easy to walk away from for a while to let your energy/magic/etc work for you to make you and your adventure hero both stronger for the next rebirth. Rebirths also come with challenges and difficulty settings, giving even more variety in ways to earn upgrades and levels. It's very enjoyable over all, both thumbs up!

Full edit from previous review: I came back to the framerate and optimization issues that I was having, being gone finally. Glad for this as it really is a fun and addictive game, with plenty to do and decent replay value. Make sure to always back up your saves though! Looking forward to where this game goes!

EDIT: I'd keep multiple backups per session, though I am not sure it will help you rescue your saves. Loading even recent saves still likes to crash every single time you load the save. Don't know what to tell you. It's a game I do and do not want to recommend. It's weird.

Also, the serious problems regarding optimization are still there and going strong. Third day back on this save and already it's starting to stutter and freeze like no one's business.

Usually, the best part of these free indie games is the fact they're free. Especially idle games. But man, this one provides laughs for the adolescent at heart, relaxed idle gaming with plenty of slow but fulfilling and easy advancement, and the best part of 4Gs idle games is they don't eat up a ton of system resources over time the way many, especially idle mobile games, do. Because I like this game so much so far, I've started NGU idle as well. Lots and lots of progression in this game for a simple idler, I love it! Thanks 4G!

Simple, easy to learn, and great for anyone who likes incremental games!

I also love the slow burning idle/incremental games like this one, it's a game you can keep advancing in for a very long time. Idle Planet Miner is very much the same on mobile/BlueStacks. But it's got a lot more interesting progression, but sadly does have ads, but only if you choose to watch the ads, they never force one or randomly pop one up whenever they feel like it like some of the terrible speed clicker games out there.

Also, I sometimes stream this, sometimes even along with my idle mobile games on BlueStacks and between them there's always something to do, to click, to discuss and talk about. I love AFK Arena also for having zero ads. They just have the cash shop for in game items and that's it.

Back to this game...... it's the most relaxing one I've found so far and I'm loving the slow-but-sure process of learning how each aspect helps your advancement and progression, and which ways are best to play. I will master this game someday!
