Honestly, the game is fun. Sometimes. There is really no other competitor in terms of historical accuracy and detailed damage models.

That being said, the developers are completely out of touch with the community. They continue to release updates that make it harder and harder to progress in the game, and once you get past tier 2, you are basically forced to buy a premium account (yeah, you heard that right, a PREMIUM, SUBSCRIPTION BASED account that just straight up gives you way more money and research) or a $70 premium plane in order to just break even every match.

Recently, they've tried pushing an update to DRASTICALLY increase repair costs (oh yeah, everytime you die, you have to pay money to repair your vehicle, and you have to research the ability to even repair in game, or even put out a fire. Seriously Gaijin, wtf?)
And only after the community pushed back EXTREMELY hard and review bombed the game, did they revert the changes.

They then proceeded to tell the community that they just "didn't understand" the economy changes and basically called anyone who complained dumb. No gaijin, we perfectly understood the update, complained about it, and you STILL pushed it out.

Overall, the game can be fun, and fills a niche that no other vehicular combat game fills. However, the developers have made the game predatory toward new or free players, and it is near impossible to progress without being forced to either spend hundreds of dollars, (yeah, HUNDREDS,) or grind for, and im not exaggerating, HUNDREDS of hours of casual play to get to modern vehicles or finish a tech tree.

If you value your free time, and your wallet, don't get this game.

Your time and money are better spent elsewhere.

Absolutley amazing game. If someone got Terrarias gameplay and art style, removed everything else, then injected whats left with 40 kilos of crack, this is what you would get.
