I just managed to beat this game and I feel like I have a duty to warn anyone before they buy this that this game is incredibly difficult. This game offers very little actual direction and requires you to solve dozens of very cryptic puzzles with very few hints.

You will find yourself writing down nearly every bit of text you encounter and only crossing it off once you feel you accomplished the relevant goal. What seems like meaningless ranting in the first few hours might have been crucial info for something way down the line.

It doesn't help that while there are only nine boss fights in this game, the last few can be incredibly difficult too.

All that being said, this game handles well and has a rad soundtrack. The retro look is cool and while it often seems unfair, it is fun as all hell. If you want a metroidvania that will really challenge you then do not hesitate to snatch this up. I'm off to finish the achievenments I missed...
