*This is a review of XCOM 2: WOTC, not just the base game*
If you want to one minute be hopping up and down in joy and the next tearing your hair out. This is the game for you.
Or poker, it's one of the two.

XCOM 2 is an emotional rollercoaster. A bit like a girlfriend I guess. It'll give you sucky sucky for 10 minutes before leaving you with blue balls. I don't know if I can handle missing any more 80% shots in a row just for the A.I to shoot me critically through a wall anymore. But, saying that, I know I'll be playing this again later... that's XCOM baby.

The game itself is a fantastic addition to the franchise, with so many cosmetic mods you'd think it went to do hair and beauty at college. The gameplay is tense and gripping, with explosions everywhere, destructible environments and ♥♥♥♥♥ aliens, you'll just love to hate. The beauty of XCOM is your attachment to your team of super soldiers, upgrading and nurturing them from ultra-virgins to mega-men (and women, let's not be sexist). You will lose some along the way, and, every time you do, it will break your heart. But, nothing is more satisfying than finally getting sweet, sweet revenge on those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chosen ♥♥♥♥♥, who seem to cause me the most problem.

The XCOM team have done a great job with interesting experimental weaponry; utilities and scientific breakthroughs, you will always feels like you're evolving and constantly maintaining an intense race against the Alien A.I. Especially with the addition of WOTC, the aliens feel even more alive, with the Chosen's adaptive behaviour, abilities and CONSTANT ♥♥♥♥ TALKING!
"What a pathetic attack, I was expecting more commander"
♥♥♥♥ off you scrawny ♥♥♥♥♥.
WOTC's addition of 'The Lost' is also a fantastic idea, adding an intense neutral, swarm-like enemy force which often take-over the battlefield. So many times has my entire map been engulfed in flames because ADVENT try and burn all the little bastards to no avail. It creates an new intensity that the base game just didn't bring to the table.

I obviously recommend XCOM 2, especially with WOTC. It maintains a tense difficulty curve and atmosphere with simple but well executed gameplay techniques. The entire basis of a luck-based-system for combat leaves you with thousands of difficult choices, a risk and reward system that feels naturally tense, even without the added mission timers, which can triple this feeling. At times, XCOM 2 will make you feel like an unstoppable power, the next, a deer in the headlights. And that's what's so great about the XCOM franchise.

Early Access Review
I bought this game and went into this blind really, not expecting much. I have to say, this game has surprised me. Whilst slightly lacking in content, through no fault of the developers (early access and all), the game has a real charm that almost reminds me of the old Bullfrog titles in a way. The best way to describe is like carefully nuturing a more-human-like colony of ants. The towns you build feel charming and lived in. Enjoying the experience so far, and the joy of early access is, you don't know what's coming next, but, with these guys, you can guess it's going to be good.
Keep up the good work Crytivo team.
Hope the devs enjoy the redbull they should get from this...

Highly recommend Skrim Special Edition, the improved graphics, DLC integration, smoother gameplay and active modding community immortalises this game as a landmark in history.

An objective view of this game is difficult, mainly due to the game's tight integration and dependence on its modding community. In my opinion, however, that this is why this game is so good. Skyrim actively encourages and integrates its community to create an even better experience. Whatever you're looking for: new magic; a new player home; some badass new follower or, for the perverts, some sexy time that you can't get outside the enclosed walls of your man-cave. All of these are easily at your fingertips through the use of the nexus and its mod manager that literally does all the work for you, free of charge.
Honestly this game is pure joy and I would highly recommend giving it a go.

Great game... awful ring races. I have tried over 40 times to complete this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ race, ripped up a mouse pad in anger trying it. But no matter how well I time jumping, it doesn't jump. the character has ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rickets and doesn't jump. If I can't do it how does Tt games expect a child to do it. That ring race is harder than any of the boss fights in the game. ♥♥♥♥ OFF! Other than that, great fun so far.

"♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 'ilarious, I was on the floor"-Joe Weller, 2014. This is is how I felt about this game. Best feature has got to be the splitscreen, surprising they put it in but local multiplayer is never not a good call

The game is f**king amazing! At first glance someone may pass it off as a sh*te graphic ball of poo. But when I first saw it I gave it the benefit of the doubt, I wasn't expecting much. But on first creation I saw the extensiveness of the game. Character creation wasn't as good as a game like skyrim's but it did the job well, I was pleased with my character after deciding his background and hit create. The first moments I was baffled, "How do I play?! My character is swinging randomly every time!" it took a while to get used to it but I had to quickly. Then the map came, "OH MY GOD!" It was massive, so many places my character could fight for and maybe even rule over one day. I was lost at first only seeing the Vaegirs section of the map, I thought that was big, then I found the rest and "HOLY COW!" Let's just say I played the game for thirty hours straight. Seriously no joke

Contagion is great! I will say that now before getting inito what I don't like. The game is nice looking realistic, in the sense of guns, the lack of HUD is great for gameplay. But in some levels I felt too limited, like the levels were only about accuracy and linear gameplay, often getting annoyed at the limit of what your character can do. But in most levels the game is open, fun and not tedious. I love it. Hope this helped. :)
