Wow. Just wow. Imagine if Tarkov, and Arma 3/Dayz had a baby. Best shooter I have ever played.

This game is great! I have played every souls game, and every souls-like clone. And this game feels like a worthy member of the genre.

It captures something of the Souls series that other souls-like games failed to do. I can't really explain it. Its an aesthetic, or a general feeling that makes you feel like your experiencing Dark Souls in a new way, with some fresh ideas, and new things to experience. I get the excitement I got playing my first dark souls all those years ago.

Do not pay attention to all the negative reviews talking about performance issues. If your computer is not a potato, you can run this game. You will NOT be able to run it on ultra. But its a brand new game, why would you think you could?

If there is one thing that this release has shown, its that the PC community has (for the most part) turned into spoiled, whining, complaining, little people. This is a brand new release, of course your 10 series, or 20 series, or even your 30 series cards wont be able to run it on max. Just put on your big kid pants, tweak the settings. and it runs great. I'm running it on a 2070 and its flawless.

Just pro-tip here, run it on medium. Anything higher than that starts to activate ray-tracing and whatnot. And that is where most of your performance issues come from.

This game deserves a way better rating than mixed.

Quit complaining. Git Gud.

So firstly I will say this game is great. Lots of people complain about the performance, but it runs great on my machine, I have a 2070 super with a 5800x CPU, and 32gb of RAM. It runs perfect, although I did have to lower the graphic settings from ultra to high. The combat is very similar to MH: World, with a mix of a bit of dark souls style. It takes ideas from alot of other games, but executes it well. It definitely doesn't deserve the hate it got in the reviews on day one.

Don't be a sheep. Give it a shot for yourself. You wont regret it. Just maybe don't try to run it on ultra with hardware from 3 years ago. lol.

Wow. What a great experience my friend and I have had so far. Don't pay attention to the bad reviews. This game is great. Different from the Arkham games. And that is a good thing. Its been alot of fun. Can't wait to play some more.

This game is awesome! Unique like escape from tarkov, but sci fi themed and not quite as punishing.

One of the best MMORPG's I have ever played.

Best way i can describe it is this:

Its Black Desert Online meets a "Dark Souls like" game.
Gameplay is better on a controller IMO, like Dark Souls. So keep that in mind.

Ignore most of the people complaining, they are mad at the developers for a previous game, not at this game itself. The game is challenging and fun, with an engaging story. I don't know why people have insanely high expectations of a free game. (Which brings me to my next point)

The game is free, with a store that you can spend real money in. (JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER MMORPG IN EXISTENCE). Seems like you can do pretty much everything in the game without spending money. Spending money just makes it easier. Which is not P2W.

The only annoying thing so far is the SFX. Its not bad, its just different. But Its on par with every other MMO I have played from Asia.

TL;DR: Don't listen to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Give it a shot, especially if you enjoy Dark Souls type games. It just released so of course there are login issues and whatnot. Give it time. Go have fun, and if its not fun, its free. So its no skin off your nose.

I think it is just stupid that this has "mostly negative" reviews. They had a bit of a bumpy start on launch day with the stress of the servers. But the devs have been working tirelessly fixing issues and the game is very stable now, and it has not even been out a full week yet.

On top of that, this kind of an update was something the devs said several years ago that they never planned to do, but they listened to the players and took on this massive undertaking and I think they have done a truly amazing job. We should be grateful they took on the task and are working so hard.

Frontier you are doing great, keep it up. Can't wait to see what the future holds.

If you are still on the fence about getting this here is what you should know:

This game has a massive learning curve so be ready to spend alot of time learning the ins and outs.

Get a joystick. Just do it.

Gameplay: Solid
Graphics: Great
VR: Awesome

The addition of being to get out of your ship and walk around the stations and planets makes it so much more immersive.
Ground combat: Challenging? Yes. Incredibly fun? Yes.

Seriously, ignore the hate and the people crying about the issues they had at release. If you like space life sims. Get this. It is the best one out there.

Ask not "for whom the bell tolls." It tolls for thee..........
