Great bit of analog horror in a dystopian setting with a narrative that quickly gets way too real and later doubles down on getting way too disturbingly real. If you (like me) played the demo and think you know what's coming, no you don't.
It's admittedly a bit short, with one playthrough taking less than 3 hours, but then again it deals enough psychological damage in that time.

I hope this hurts, Jimmy.

What an experience. Whoever said games can't be art?

Gameplay-wise INDIKA is mostly a walking simulator with several puzzles and minigames sprinkled in. It's first and foremost a story-driven game, taking you on a philosophical journey regarding the moral compass of religious institiutions, the marks of a good person, and mental health, assuming my interpretation of it is even remotely correct. Visually, the game combines realistic graphics with pixel art in a way that's possibly more story-relevant than you might initially think. Hint: The only times you see pixel art outside of the dream/flashback sequences, is in the form of faith points.

Overall, my personal pick for Game of the Year. Although I kinda wish the prayer mechanic had been used more often.

Far from perfect, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't one of my all-time favourite games.

Just a few words of advice for (potential) new players:
- The learning curve is very steep; keep your expectations realistic. You will get frustrated at some point or another.
- As with most big multiplayer games, there's a lot of toxicity happening in the community. Don't let it get to you.
- Play. Both. Sides.
- Take the time to read through perk/add-on descriptions before you accuse someone of cheating in post-game chat.
- At the end of the day, it's up to you to decide what you consider a win. Again, keep your expectations realistic.

Also, just don't question how it's anatomically possible to blind Pyramid Head with a flashlight.

Great relaxing game. I may or may not have played this for 5+ hours straight in a creative outburst. Several times.

An AI with abandonment issues develops a PC game on the fly, starting with a text-based adventure and upgrading it step by step to a first-person 3D game, basically going through the history of PC games. Characters are exactly what you would expect after reading one of those AI-generated movie scripts.

Great game, great visuals, and what a great soundtrack. 10/10

If you enjoyed Simulacra and you like Doctor Who, then this is a game for you. Not a particularly long story, but a good one.

That's all I'm going to say, otherwise ... spoilers.

You will inevitably end up either filled with rage and hatred, ascended to the highest possible level of Zen, or dead inside.

Puzzles and philosophy, set in an environment that feels like a TARDIS on steroids. What an insane masterpiece.

My brain hurts. 10/10, definitely recommended.

I got this game almost eight years ago and it's still worth revisiting every once in a while. Definitely recommended, although I'd suggest you play the first part before this, that way the story makes a lot more sense.
