It's a pretty good game. While the New Player stuff isn't exactly the best, if you keep playing, you'll get a handle on it pretty fast. Do yourself a favor and go find a gear manager, they will help immediately. If you can, find a clan to play with and just dump all of your questions on them.

Yes, the game vaults (IE, makes inaccessible) most of their older content, but there is still a fair whack of stuff to do. It's not great, but it keeps the game size down.
