Could've been good but development went mainly in optimizing the profit. Some mechanics/inconsistencies are still lacking and hinder smooth playbility (inconsistent keybindings for up and down movement/aim, frame perfect timings for trivial movements, missing cooldown/fighter state depictions in fights, a lot of ignored userfeedback about best practices in game flow (e.g. input action queue for moments of cooldown/recovery, ledge forgiveness,..),..). Overall its a reaction based frame-amount- and hitbox-position-remember-simulator. You got 15 (combinable) ways to move/dash/dodge and per fighter 24 multi-staged hitboxes and frame(-perfect) timings to remember + hidden interactions/cooldowns/charges when chaining them together. Each fighter has 2 weapons (+unarmed) with 8 abilities each. Interesting in concept, requires a lot of mental dedication/storage, but it feels still unfinished (gameplay-wise) and follows non-gameplay-focussed priorities.

Selbst 2021 macht es immer noch Spaß.

Alles funktioniert super, ist schnell und voll von User-Content.

Für mich um Längen besser als CS:GO: Sounds, Models, Maps, Mods - hochoptimiert, rock solid und nicht so blechern und fast schwarzweiß wie in CS:GO.

Einziges Manko ist die schmale aber stabile Userbase, welche sich jeden Abend auf den gleichen Servern wiederfinden lässt. So kann man alle paar Abende auf einen de_dust2_unlimited Deatchmatch Server und mit mehr als 50 anderen Spielern sich über Stunden einfach nur gegenseitig über den Haufen mähen, wie in der guten alten Zeit. Es ist herrlich.

surf-maps gibt's auch immer noch - leider nicht mehr so populär wie damals.
Na, wer erinnert sich noch an GunGame auf den Lego- und Simpsons-Maps? ;)

Many hours into a run - had a great wand - reached depths I had never reached before - found a 5x Damage Upgrade - tried out my wand once - hole screen becomes a detonation. This is the way the game teaches you stuff. A bit like real life. This game is very hard, very deep and so very good. It makes me suffer but its consensual.

Ein Klassiker mit einem perfektem Remaster/Revival.
Westwood/Petroglyph Games zeigen erneut wie man es richtig macht.

Ich habe die Hoffnung, dass sie eines Tages auch Command & Conquer Alarmstufe Rot 2 (Red Alert 2) remastern werden.
Eine sofortige Vorbestellung wäre sicher!

3 Hours trying to get it to work when finally the solution to all the start-up-crashes was the following:

Disables the microsoft xbox-live stuff that causes all the crashes and it just works. Unfortunately that means that multiplayer won't be accessable - but at least I can play the game.

GTA4>GTA5, thanks to euphoria physics, shop interious, love to details, police not shooting you for just standing close to them, and way better graphics if you use http://icelaglace.com/ (ICE la Glace enhancer)

brilliant game with graphics better than most AAA title. Tight controlls and finished gameplay.

Only downside: Lacks playerbase

It's like I wrote a game to a different me i didn't even know existed but because I didnt knew this different me i gave it to him - he made it public and a very private piece got left in the wild and i lost control over it and then it reached me and playing it felt like remembering writing it. Very matching that it was in german es will (my mother tounge). Trippy but good experience. Not done thinking about it yet
