As a registered pharmacist, I feel that I am uniquely qualified to speak to this game. While it's not like actual pharmaceutical research and development, it does capture the essence of drug development (evaporation, distilling, different excipients) and does it while keeping things interesting.

The minute-to-minute small puzzles of configuring everything in a small space, managing price, pushing for the next-best-thing (or not, if it's more profitable to flood the market with cheap, side-effect heavy medications), and monitoring the competition are all pleasingly done. You're allowed to set your own pace and customize your challenge through a wide variety of options, missions, and randomization of ingredients. The UI and graphics all fit well into this process.
