A good play for those still interested in this type of game as the disassembly models are still far beyond most other games... But abandonware, hasn't been updated in three years.

ai pretends like you dont exist. brake checking and ramming is constant, and will not move out of the way for you, can't even pass some of the first levels, so infuriating i threw my steering wheel and i have a pretty decent temper.
tldr, ai is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

deep rock galactica should've won 2023 labor of love. clearly steam don't know how to recognise good games rather than going for what's the most popular to appease to their fanbase.

this game is fantastic as a sandbox, until you do the missions.

im giving it a thumbs up because its a great vehicle simulator, however whoever designed the missions is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ demon and needs a smack in the back of the head.

missions in games are meant to be challenging and fun while still being possible. and i have won a gold medal on every single campaign. except the damn bus campaign.

for some bizarre reason, at the fourth mission which requires you to get speed, hit a muscle car in the back to get a bonus 100 points and then launch yourself off a ramp and land on said car to finish the mission.

however, i have no idea what happened but first of all the AI car pulls too far ahead for you to reasonably speed up enough in your slow ass bus to hit its rear when its supposed to be another 5-8 feet back from where it stops. you need atleast 32mph and every turn i make i can only get up to 28/30mph, which leads to me getting close but ultimately missing the car.

big deal, i lose 100 points, however whats absolutely infuriating is the speed of the bus makes it nigh impossible to jump with the right amount of speed to completely crush the car and get anything above a bronze medal. either your bus is too slow and misses by a few feet from the car or by the time you hit it with the bus you do minimal damage or you land too late.

and the ONE TIME that i managed to land on the car and completely destroy it, i get 737 out of 1000 points. not bad right? atleast a silver. except, no. for some BIZARRE reason it's only a bronze, making fully completing this campaign with full golds nigh near impossible.

oh and every time i try to turn the corner, i lose so much speed because either i hit the green screen, the big ass arrow sign or the barriers. who's idea was it to make it so narrow? because i want to slap you.

i have no idea if an update screwed it up or not because i am replicating gold medal walkthroughs from 2018 and despite my numerous attempts i cannot replicate it. either you screwed with the bus or muscle car's handling or AI functionality and made it near impossible to complete this mission, or you made it this hard to artificially increase the difficulty of this mission that should not require so many attempts to try to gold it, this mission is NOT THAT HARD in concept and yet you made it the most infuriating mission in this game either through updates or neglecting to update it.

fix your stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ missions, developers, i've replayed this SAME DAMN LEVEL 20-30 times and havent been able to get anything above a silver medal. nobody should have to feel like going to as far lengths as to crap on a mission in steam reviews to tell you that you designed a bad level.

and excluding just that one mission alone, msot of the challenge levels in this game were INFURIATING. they SUCKED. they weren't fun at all to play and got repetitive extremely quickly because of the fact you had to keep replaying them over and over in some cases.

overall, great sandbox game, poor handling of missions.
