Telling your kids "Santa is real" is child abuse and should be illegal

If you tell your kids Santa is real, you are getting them to act good while not following through with the reward. This would be fraud, ipso facto. It is also child abuse because children usually get heavily traumatized when they figure out that their parents have been lying to them for years. This will cause the child to not only cry for a long period of time but will also leave them with trust issues. Furthermore, telling your child that they will get coal if they don't act good is a cruel and unusual punishment. Coal is a resource that most children are unfamiliar with which will increase the likelihood that they fear it. Little children don't deserve to be scared about being a bad person when they make normal decisions. For all these reasons and many more, I believe that it would be better for society if it was illegal for parents to fraudulently tell their child that Santa is real.
