So,

I gave this another go and surprise surprise, honestly i found it fun.

I found out that i was unable to connect due to the maintanience previously, so heres a new review.

For a free game with quite the number of issues in the past it kinda worked out for me playing on my potato internet. Altough sometimes quests are not directed properly and turning them in at a specific npc is kinda hard when you cant find the npc among the large crowd of other players, still recommend you to give it a go if you dont wanna spend money and are looking for a decent game.

Hope this helps

Quirky refrences that sometimes take you awhile to get, fun turn-based RPG combat and provides long hours of gameplay.

Grinding is ABSOLUTELY necessary for progression in this game and will take alot of time (its kinda like pokemon, but yr lvl 50 pikachu ain't gonna get you nowhere), however its worth the hours, the storyline quests have RIDICULOUS difficulty spikes and variuous plans ingame allow you to enhance the difficulty of certain dungeons, opening up more areas to grind in (and more places to get destroyed if not prepared).

Gameplay is abit wonky to get used to, theres a range system where your characters can only move in that circle, ZERO ranged wepons (but 2 ranged characters, Histore from a DLC and MAGES who will join you later in the story), and also you have to have somewhat of a which monster to attack first kind of mentality, different weapons also have different targeting areas, some swords only can target one square and some can cleave three squares, you get the idea.(also the character Compa is a ♥♥♥♥ healer, go get the DLC for Plutia).

Highly recommend this to fans of the anime (go check it out, only 12 episodes!) and RPG fans. Would also encourage gamers that enjoy this first installment to check out the other 2 (as will I).

This game also made me nep

Great game, lovely storyline with 6 different routes to choose from, lots of different customization options with clothes and weapons and even interchangeable player models! Unique weapons with special attacking patterns and some what of a small sand-boxy RPG.

Would be even better if the script could be gender specific, I usually swap to a female model and can't stand that the NPCs still adresses me as "Broski" or "boy". (i know this is due to the routes avaliable but hear me out!)

DLCs: currently none. Maybe DLCs that allow us to have like routes for being evil? (Zenya or Soga)
Or maybe routes for Kaito and his bro if a female mode is used. Maybe more places to explore, if i am was not wrong, i saw an option to leave Akiba, so maybe a DLC that includes another part of japan? (new storyline, more routes, more characters, weapons, etc)

Overrall great game and would highly recommend it, just have a go! I got hooked the moment I finished the first route and wanted to do all the routes. Hope you find this review useful! :)
