Worth the money!

It's a fun little roguelite with two phases: Mining and Spider..ing. As you dig into more mines you find more resources to upgrade your mining laser and/or spider upgrades, as well as most mines containing one special item that will either unlock a new ability, give you a blueprint, give you a new weapon, or just upgrade an existing item in a way not accessible otherwise.

Every time you die you use the points you gained in the last round to upgrade your spider mech to make the next run easier. Adding Missiles, a dash that crushes enemies, a tesla coil, and tools to help you get to mines and explore them faster.

I think 12 hours is probably pretty close to completing it, plus or minus about 3 hours. But for $5, that's more than an hour per *fifty cents spent*, making this absolutely worth it.

Early Access Review
**5/31 Update**

The patches seemed to have drastically reduced the desync issues, and lemme tell you, the game is fun as hell :)

Each character feels really unique, and it really feels good to get the flow of them. Every time I picked someone new my reaction was "They feel way worse than ____", and then after 2 rounds I'm like "THIS GUY IS THE BEST"

The pacing feels good where you feel like if you're not currently accomplishing something time is wasted, but if you check your little countdown in the corner you can see that you've probably got plenty for whatever it is you're doing.

Great setting, great story, fun mechanics. A chill experience that's gorgeous in a new way in every new scene. 4.5 hours for $30 is a bit slim, but I still think it's a great bang for your buck.

Honestly A+ in every aspect.
Gameplay Loop
Combat
Art Direction
Voice Acting
Writing
Setting/Theme
Everything, Absolutely A+ game, would recommend (and have) to everyone I know. I'm at 43 hours played and it looks like there's still a ton left to do.

Edit: 82 hours in now, just finished the epilogue. Still finding fun little easter eggs and stumbling into fun new builds. Would recommend to anyone (and have recommended to everyone) I know.

Seriously good fun alone, even better with friends. The game has a really rewarding game cycle of kill->upgrade->kill stronger monsters, and a wide selection of gear, charms, and decorations (skill gems) to make creating a specific build extremely accessible. Iceborne adds more and fixes issues from the first game, but both are absolute A+ games.
