Cosmic horror, leaves, nuclear powered leaf blowers.... honestly, I'm not sure what else you could ask for in a game, Not only is it a competent clicker, but the story will lure you in and enter your dreams until all you want is...more leaves to blow.

I might just be very stupid, and I fully admit that I have never been good at RTS games and civ builders, but this game is extremely finnicky and complex in my view. Even more so with DLC, which I did not purchase but have experienced through the community events.

I enjoy games with a heavy learning curve, even if I have to scour a wiki or spend 50-60 hours getting the basics. But after 100 hours into civ 6, I am still getting smoked by the AI in almost every scenario and even free play games on a low-medium difficulty (prince).

I truly do not understand this game. Enemy units of the same type will decimate mine, even when defending in my own territory. The computer players will amass enormous armies and have seven cities before I have a chance to build walls and a few encampments. I have even watched tutorials and really tried to get it but I just don't. So if you are dense at all like me, you might have trouble as well.

Furthermore, the political ideology of the devs of this game is clear and it is very annoying in the DLCs. Globalist world councils, arbitrary environmental rules, and panic over rising sea levels makes the game seem propogandistic and agenda driven. I'm just done with stuff like that in video games.

Many long-time Civ players find this entry to be one of the worst in series, so I will probably try 5 or another earlier installment, but after spending so much time and frustration trying to figure this one out I am glad to finally be done with it.

I have probably close to a thousand hours in this game, including on Xbox and before Steam.

Oblivion was my first open world RPG. It changed my life. It's a piece of video game history. It's beautiful compared to other games of its time, and it has influenced the RPG world forever.

And on top of that, it's really funny. The AI is nuts; the NPC dialogue is legendary, and the quirkiness of characters like the Adoring Fan live on in easter eggs and memes to this day.

Now that it has been remastered the original game probably won't be played as much. And that's fine, it certainly needed a graphical update (although I wish they would have remastered Morrowind first). But the old silly and beautiful region of Cyrodil will still live on forever in the memories of those who spent so many hours roaming the countryside and collecting tons of crap that they will never use.

In my opinion this is one of the best online multiplayer games in existence. Despite a (from what I heard) rough launch the game made a massive comeback within the first year and has since been a real labor of love with regular updates, an active player base, and even a new game mode.

It can be compared to Left4Dead, because the gameplay style and level design is very similar but much more highly developed. Instead of zombies, you are fighting zombie-like cultist dudes and evil rats. There are so many enemies sometimes you could say it's a tide... of... vermin. This is not just a simple hack'n'slash, though, because the tougher battles really require planning and practice. The game is pretty hard on higher difficulties, but it's not too hard to learn.

There is much to be said about the combat system, but suffice to say it's one of the most robust, fun, strategic, and maybe even realistic melee engines in existence. Ranged attacks are super fun too whether you are using firearms, magic, bow, or crossbow. 4 players enter a mission on a mostly-linear map with different objectives but always involve fighting off massive hoards of enemies.

In case you don't know, the world of Warhammer is a huge universe and is primarily a tabletop battle game. It also has books, other games, tons of merch, and probably more I don't know about. Personally I get a lot of LotR vibes from it, especially in the rat cities that look a lot like Moria and the Goblin town from Hobbit. As a side note, there is a TON of lore in the Warhammer world but there's not too much going on in this game on the surface.

Nostalgia is powerful, but maybe it's not enough.

I've had the same account for over 20 years and I have the cape to prove it. I started playing during what is now called Runescape Classic and have been here for each major update since. It's had some tough times and identity crises and had many player rifts which is why there is now, like WoW, "oldschool" runescape which is the 2007 version of the game and RS3 which has upgraded graphics, tons of new skills, and more quests.

Skilling is still addictive although even with all the shortcuts and easy XP methods it's still grindy as hell and won't hold the attention of most modern players. The quests, while much more interesting than most MMOs, are often an outdated mess of frustrating puzzles and endless dialogue and often require a guide just to tell what exact sequence you're supposed to do things in.

My biggest problem with Runescape is that it doesn't know what it is. You will do one quest with really dark themes that includes blood, murder, and very serious dialogue. Then another quest has the Easter bunny breaking the 4th wall and running a crack factory or something. The game doesn't take itself seriously at all, except for when it does. It's kinda confusing that they can't decide on a tone for the game. Also not a fan of the story mostly because the whole "superhuman beings in a multiverse" trope has been beaten to death over the last 20 years.

The nail in the coffin for me is Jagex latching onto "current thing" and making their fantasy game political. They have gone so far as inserting gay characters and girl bosses for the sake of representation rather than the sake of good characters. They pander through pride month with ugly cosmetics and dumb events. And they are often advertising charities that are obviously very ideological.

Also, they are always constantly advertising their microtransactions. The daily roulette thing, cosmetics, useless pets you can't take hardly anywhere, and they even want you to pay extra to use an analytics tool for XP. I might still log in and check out new free stuff from time to time, but I don't want to pay this company any more.

Widely considered to be the best FPS-RPG ever made, New Vegas is a shining example of good writing, beautiful environments, excellent level design, and great gunplay.

I am a weird person who actually likes Fallout 3 better than Vegas, though even I admit that New Vegas was a return-to-form for the Fallout franchise. Where 3 was sort of an experimental re-interpretation of the Fallout world, Vegas is largely a continuation of the original Fallout 1 & 2 stories with the same off-the-wall dark humor and honest, gritty lore.

Some people consider this to be the last good Fallout game, though I highly enjoyed 4 and I think the engine was greatly improved upon. As far as writing, Vegas is definitely superior and yes, it's the last in the series with difficult resolutions to problems and morally ambiguous choices.

It is a bit dated now but there are plenty of mods to make the game look prettier and add new mechanics and other content. The game is fairly stable unlike some other older titles (I'm looking at you, Dragon Age: Origins) and still holds up to modern standards as far as gameplay goes.

Definitely a piece of history all RPG and FPS fans ought to play through at least once. As low as it gets on sales, there's no excuse not to try it. It harkens back to a time where developers really cared about their creations.

Excellent game, but I would recommend buying one of the Jackbox Party Packs instead. Not much more money for 5 games instead of 1.

I'd say you need a minimum of 5 people to make this game super fun. The more, the better.

I've given more detailed reviews for the packs. Check my profile if you want to see them,

Just like everyone else says, this is a visually stunning game with tons of opportunities for cool screenshots and no UI/HUD to fuss with.

It's short (3-6 hrs) and (not always so) sweet, spooky, and fun. It's a bit platforming and a bit of puzzles with some lite murder mixed in. The world is BEAUTIFUL and although I'm sure the dev gets tired of hearing it but the style is Tim-Burton esque.

This is good for casual gamers who don't scare easily. I mean, it's not a horror game, but I wouldn't let a little kid play it. Renowned for a reason, though.

Excellent sandbox crime game with tons of great mods online. I have probably well over 100 hours in this game, just not on Steam.

There is a lot to do but few people will want to 100% this game because the story isn't exactly compelling and the chaos system gets old after awhile. The scenery is beautiful, though, the vehicles are great, the grappling is fun, and the gunplay ain't bad either.

Unfortunately increasing the difficulty doesn't provide more of a challenge. Rather, it just makes you want to rage quit because all enemies are bullet sponges and you can die in 2-3 shots. Still, I wouldn't play this game for the shooting but just to screw around and terrorize the government.
