Cool characters, a progression system, fun party side-game to unwind with, crossplay, and approachable controls that are, for the sake of combos, evenly matched with the technical motion inputs.

Very much a slower-movement grounded game (closer to Sf6 than Strive) so if wanna be zipping around with air dashes and double jumps then this will be a big change of pace. That said, it pulls of that grounded footsies style very well imo

Favorite game of all time. Love the dev team, love the community, and obviously the game is fantastic. The controls are tight, the world expansive and never boring to traverse, the bosses are fantastic, the lore is incredibly deep, and the soundtrack and art are FANTASTIC. Amazing game to speedrun as well, and there's a great modding community around the game too. If you haven't already done so, play this game. It's a must-experience instant indie classic. Pick it up, pick up a controller if you can, and stay tuned for Silksong and any other games Team Cherry has planned. I can only hope this won't be the last we see of them.
There is so much content here that my first playthrough clocked in at around 40 hours without even getting 100% or 112%. That said, the game is perfectly enjoyable just going for the any% ending as well, but for those who want to be able to sink dozens upon dozens of hours in, the end-game challenges will give you so much to do and strive for. Hollow Knight is so underpriced that buying it feels like theft. Seriously, I can't recommend Hollow Knight enough. Just play the game already!

Great game, can only see things getting better from here. Devs clearly care about the game and community so that's cool too. Very easy to get into if you've played mobas before (as a League player, I had a very easy time feeling right at home here). Designing, routing, and testing different builds is super fun, especially since the meta isn't exactly solved yet. Loads of potential in this game, especially give the wide cast of the original Black Survival. Fun in solo, duo, and squad. F2P too, so give it a go!
