Many other reviewers have stated what's wrong with this game, so I'll just give a quick recap.

All of the good leveling based progression from the Alpha of this game is gone, replaced with a new terrible system that punishes you for exploring past the borders of a designated zone.

You do not acquire experience from killing mobs or doing quests, nor do you level up unless you explore the world and find "artifacts." This would be fine if artifacts were actually valuable, but they are not. Finding an artifact will reward you with 1% faster stamina recharge, or +1 lantern radius. There is no boost to your combat skills in this game about fighting monsters. That comes from your gear, which is standard issue RPG stuff with no real problems.

Except for the fact that all of this gear is stripped from you when leaving the border of a region, forcing you to start all over again unless you have + gear, which will work in one additional region. You also lose all mobility based items such as climbing claws, hang gliders, boats and mounts when switching regions.

So yes, what we have here is an exploration based RPG that punishes you for exploring. Bravo.

Played this game back when it was just a small time flash game, and it's come a long long way.

Really glad to see it on steam now, so go and rush to your cheeses and worship your anvil god, little mice.
