A little bit confusing at the start like a lot of survival games, but has a remarkable amount of things to do, places to explore and dimensions to survive in.
Not a game for everyone, but a surprisingly fresh take on a survival style of game.

Beyond excellence in design and game feel.
The world and play-styles are larger and more varied than you think, constantly giving you reasons to try new builds, create new characters to take different paths in different playthroughs.

My biggest critiques are:
- Co-Op needs improvement, kind of stuck in Darksouls 2 era. Seemless Co-op mod is highly recommended.
- Input queuing can occasionally result in frustrating deaths.
- Sometimes the world feels a little too big, forcing you to take some boring horse rides.

My Biggest highlights
- Remarkably tight combat
- Respects the players abilities and problem solving skills.
- Encourages multiple playthroughs and varied character builds.
- Level and world design is fantastic
- Visuals are great and really set the tone for each zone
- Audio design and soundscape is outstanding and immersive
- Story is really interesting and requires you to dig deeper yourself.
- Easy to play online and offline

Easily deserves GOTY and will be a game that's easily to revisit any time in the future.

Easily one of the best games of the year, cared and loved for by amazing developers.

Arrowhead Studios and Sony have heard our voices loud and clear, and for that I am greatly appreciative.

I hope Arrowhead, Helldivers 2 and its community contine to grow and become a thing of legend.

If you enjoy walking around in identical corridors with no clear objective and love super basic memory game puzzles, boy is this game for you!
Without the needless jumpscares, this game loves to waste your time walking in circles trying to find an arbitrary way to progress.

There's really no game design here, just 4 level of walking aimlessly.

YOU DIED

In Short: Great gameplay, Levels, enemies, secrets and items - Poor sound design and Story.

A very enjoyable game. If you enjoy Platformers or Darksouls type games, I highly reccomend this title.

Very fun gameplay and combat, able to stand up as a great game with that alone.
Beautiful art and interesting level design, You can easily back-track when you need to and frequently open shortcuts.
A large array of different items and secrets that you wont find on your first playthough.

The biggest issue with the game is poor sound design. Many of the sounds fit, but feel off. And some just seem plain broken (Such as when you deflect a throwing knife)

The Story was also not too compelling but didnt seem to matter too much.
