this is the most aggressive and harsh survival games i have ever played.
everything and everyone is out to get you
you will suffer and like it
it is the most satisfying games i have ever played
no other game comes close to the amount of pleasure and thrill i get when playing dayz

if you are a new player, start on official servers and learn to survive. once you can survive any hardship the game throws at you, you will become unstoppable on any community server.

not as many animation breaks

the first chimera you fight is unkillable, it was a bug, its still ♥♥♥♥♥♥, they intend for you to run from it. The swamp is a movement hellscape if you have any weight on you, making it hard to run. all chimera can animation lock you into instant deaths. its stupid as ♥♥♥♥

bloodsuckers can still animation lock you if there is more than 1. the sprinting slap they perform knocks your player down in a fixed animation. they can do it back to back. their health is good NOW but multiple requires the Saiga be mandatory. Locking you out of other shotguns because of the animation lock up.

when theres a million monolith they tank headshots with most guns
like i didnt just put a 556 or 9x39 through their heads

dlss balanced average 40-60fps
blurry image with a lot of ghosting

game drops off half way through
almost no sidequests in the entire top half of the map
exploration is cool, always something to find even in the most remote spots
still finding things i missed the first time
locking Pripyat behind story is stupid as ♥♥♥♥
chug energy drinks 24/7 because MAIN STORY QUESTS are MILES AWAY
if you dont discover all fast travel locations before hand, its pretty bad

theres so many aid items its horrible
survival isnt a challenge, just spam heals
the game keeps throwing upgrades and new kit to you, no point in upgrading because its expensive as ♥♥♥♥ for something you will replace and sell later
cant buy many of the late game weapons or ammo
why can i spam grenade tubes but theres 12 RPGs in the whole game
PKM is so heavy and ammo is scarce sadge

6/10 still fun wait for a sale though
the optimization is absolutely horrible

i have another 300 hours on console
the hitboxes dont make sense 99% of the time
rocket lance is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ busted in every way
ranking up past gold is damn near impossible
whoevers wifi is better wins most of the time
the skins and cosmetics are severely overpriced

if you dont play it competitively then its fine
if you do its one of the most frustrating games ever
7/10 remove rocket lance and queen nai

it takes me over 300 games to get one plane or tank past 5.0. only way to cut that down is to pay for premium vehicle and premium account. go ♥♥♥♥ yourself gaijin

This game is Fantastic and what ive been waiting for as a Bioshock fan since those games came out. Graphics are great, just make sure you have a 30 series card or similar. Audio design is amazing and fits perfectly for whats happening on screen. Game play is great, if you like Bioshock and similar games, you will feel at home here. Story is pretty good as its twist is obvious from the start, but with a healthy amount of second guessing and character mental issues that it is on par with Bioshock.

major gripes is only that English VA are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible, just keep the audio on Russian for you own well being. either my SSD is ♥♥♥♥ or the game has underoptimization issues. probably on my end. and theres a few buggy spots with dashing but as long as you dont hug walls all the time you wont have an issue with anything.
