This being an Early Access game that literally just released two days ago as of first posting this, I have since accepted that it's absolutely not going to run perfectly, and sincerely wish other people would realize this.

Granted, I also know to not even attempt to try multiplayer, with ongoing server issues. But singleplayer is fun enough, just building up a little hut for myself with a little group of misfit dinos I befriended, and I'm eager to see where the team goes with it.

I'll add to this as I progress further.

If you're not overly creative and/or a big-name content creator, don't bother. The devs don't listen to anyone without a lot of clout, the "building pieces" are becoming less and less casual-friendly as time's going on, and more than half of the animals are listed "shy" and require "places to hide" which the game isn't very clear on explaining, meaning you're practically required to use one-way glass, otherwise they get stressed 24/7 and result in protesters.
It started fun, but now I can't even keep the game open for longer than ten minutes.

tl;dr, the developers of this game do not respect casual players and I sincerely regret spending so much on this game.

Incredibly fun game. You can either rush to get all the bosses and leave the exploring to the post-game, or take your time and find everything along the way. Survival elements vary on what difficulty you pick as well, which is great for those who want to get a feel for the game before anything else. And the soundtrack is Amazing.

-First off, the tutorial isn't the greatest and there were some things I had to look up online, but aside from that, once I found my proverbial feet with the game, that was that.

-Sure, planning things around the limited map sizes require strategic thinking, as do the weather conditions on three or four of the locations, but that's the part that makes you have to think carefully about things like building placement.

-The AI's for all the dinosaurs (of which there is a nice variety of, even with only one DLC) are feasibly realistic, and the NPCs are both fully-voiced and have authentic personalities.

-Can't say much about graphics since I can't go above Low without slowdowns, but even then everything looks great.

-There's the matter of inevitably running out of things to do at the end of the campaign, but then again that's most games in a nutshell, and there's always the chance of future content to be added, especially since the developers seem to listen to their playerbase.

tl;dr an overall decently-solid game, even if the tutorials could use some work.
