Masterpiece.

For someone that plays a lot of FPS shooters, MMO's & Mobas, I dabble into a story driven game once in a blue moon. This one nailed it, and is actually the first game I've chased achievements for after the story completion. Even after achieving all the achievements, I can still do more if I choose.

They tell a great story, followed by great developing game play as you progress through the game. The progress is semi-linear which I like (some others might digress) but I think the various bosses and challengers along the way.

I think the big thing for some is difficulty of this game. In terms of that I think your average gamer can pick up the gist and get better at the mechanics as they progress through the story. On a side note: I've played Elden Ring for 16 hours and yes this game feels similar although this game different. On a personal level, the difficulty of Elden Ring is probably higher, but you do get some nice challengers out of Wukong.
